Help from a nurse, please

I have previously posted with my history under "I am feeling lost". I have come across some questions that maybe could be answered by some of the nurses on here.

Can a D&C be performed after an endometrial ablation?

What can a hysterosonogram show that a transvaginal ultrasound doesn't?

    Just noticed your post.
I really don't know if a D&C can be done after an endometrial ablation. I am pretty sure that the hysterosonogram allows the doctor to take a look INSIDE the uterus, where the transvaginal ultrasound is only able to see the outside of the uterus and the surrounding organs. When doing a hysterosonogram, the doctor actually a tube through the cervix into the uterus.
Hope this helps. If you do a google search on hysterosonogram, you can find some helpful information.

    Thanks for the response. I
Thanks for the response. I have my appointment Thursday for the hysterosonogram. The Dr said he would be able to tell from this whether or not he can do a D&C. I've been googling my behind off trying to find something, anything, but all the doctor keeps telling me is wait, one test at a time. and I'm like hurry up all ready. He said that after this he will either do the D&C or a biopsy, I guess I will find out next week what comes next. Thanks again.

    endometrial ablation
Transrectal ultrasound. The transducer is shaped to fit into the rectum. A transrectal ultrasound is the most common test to look at the male pelvic organs, such as the prostate and seminal vesicles.
