Reunion

Well gals, since we are all going to be around a long time we should start some traditions!! Maybe we should rotate coming to each others Relay for Life walks. It would be so AWESOME to physically WALK WITH ALL OF YOU. CRFB!!!

    It sure would be great to walk with you all, can you see us all trying to walk and talk at the same time? What a picture that would be. I am looking into joining my first walk here in Oregon, but the date might not work because I will be planning to go to Massachusetts to be with our daughter for her first baby in July. I can't wait.

    I hope some of you can get together and enjoy the walk.

    How AWESOME would that be!??!
    I will probably still be in treatment this spring during everyone's RELAY events, but NEXT year you may have a house-guest for your Relay event. I can testify about how your experience and example and love got me through my treatment year, and we can dance with NED together! :D

    First grandbaby / Congrats
    How lucky. Nothing like the bonding of a first grandbaby. I have 6. Ages 18 to 1 yr. My youngest daughter is 12, so between her and the grandkids I know my treatments and recovery would have been much worse. They certainly keep up the spirits!! Hope all of you have a great day. We are actually getting to climb up to the teens today. Lot's of deep snow from the last storm.

    Fall events?
    Save that dance for me... all of us together dancing to a revised "Beat It" (my daughter and her friends want to 're write' that song to sing at the Relay.) Many of the events are in the fall. Our Relay is Aug 7. Hop a flight!! I have my heart set on lighting up a purple bridge. (That is where the thousands of Angels perch to watch over us on our walk!!) Just think of the stories we could share as we walk through to the 25th hour!! CRFB!!

    How exciting that you are planning to be with your daughter with your new grandbaby. I am so happy for you. Hope it is a great trip for all of you. And wishing you many many years to enjoy that grandbaby.

    I too think it would be great to meet all of you. I too don't know where I will be in my treatment plan. I am making no committments for any activities. The Relay for Life in Quincy is June 5-6, but I have a neice getting married June 6th in St. Louis. I have not committed to attend either, until I see how I am feeling.

    I too am living with hope.

    I would love to hear the rewrite of "Beat It"
    I think that is really awesome that your daughter and friends want to re write the Beat It song. It would definitely be a hit at the Relay to Life Walk. I hope you Purple Bridge makes the even also. That would mean so much to so many people. We all need the angels watching over us. You have some great ideas. I like the CRFB, too. You and your family remain in my prayers.

    Linda, are those beautiful flowers from your garden? My husband tilled our garden today, so I can plant the potatoes on the 17th! Excited, I hope I have the energy.

    The flower photo was taken today in chilly Pennsylvania!
    There are several types of crocus and most of you probably are more familiar with the larger hybrid crocus. But the smaller, less showy 'species' crocus blooms much earlier and is the one I took the photo of today and posted. It's a tiny plant, less than 4" tall, and has always been a symbol of renewal and hope for me, the first flower to bloom in my garden in late winter. Every year it blooms so early that it gets snowed on several times, knocked down to the ground, but when the snow melts again, it struggles to upright itself, perseveres and blooms on. Just like us. Bloom on, my dear friends, bloom on!

    I love to take photos, and always carry a camera, which forces me to look for beauty everywhere. If you are bored, I have some of my better photos posted in my 'Expressions Gallery' on my member 'About Me' page here. If you click on the photos, it makes them big enough to actually see.

    I too love flowers. I am surprised your crocus are blooming already in Pennsylvania. I have some crocus planted at home. I wonder if they are blooming yet. I miss seeing the early spring bulbs while we are in Florida. I have a friend that sends me pictures from time to time of what I am missing. I have lots of daffodils and tulips that I will get to see when I get back to Illinois in April. Of course there will be lots of cleanup to do. I mostly do flowers. We plant a few tomatoes, and a few herbs, but the rest are flowers.

    I look forward to looking at your Expressions Gallery. I have not looked at anyone's page yet to see what's on their pages. I'll have to post some of my flowers on my page so you can enjoy some of my flowers. I too love my camera and take so many pictures. I too believe their is beauty everywhere.
