HELLO TO ALL AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS WEBSITE... IT HAS HELPED ME VERY MUCH UNDERSTAND MY SISTER'S ILLNESS. I WANTED TO SHARE WITH YOU, THAT AFTER 6 ROUNDS OF RCHOP, MY SISTER(AGE 44 AND A NURSE), APPEARS TO BE IN REMISSION... THER'S A SLIGHT CONCERN, WITH A MARKING NEAR HER PAROTID GLAND OR GLANDS, WHICH WE WILL KNOW MORE TOMORROW, AFTER SEEING HER ONCOLOGIST... SHE DID INDEED SUFFER A FEW SET BACKS ALONG THE WAY(ONE BEING A VERY SCARY 4 DAY HOSPITAL STAY), AFTER CATCHING A STOMACH VIRUS AND BECOMING VERY NEUTROPENIC(HER WHITE BLOOD CELLS WERE IN THE BASEMENT). LOTS OF HEAVY HITTING ANTIBIOTICS AND FLUIDS, DID GET THAT STRAIGHTNED AROUND. I PLAN ON WRITING HER JOURNEY ON HERE, BOTH FROM HER VIEW AND ALSO MY VIEW(AS HER VERY LOVING BIG SISTER). IT'S NOT BEEN EASY, FOR HER, NOR OUR FAMILY, BUT I WOULD LIKE TO OFFER "MUCH HOPE AND SUPPORT", BY SHARING HER STORY, ON THE CSN WEBPAGE.I'VE ALSO POSTED A PICTURE OF SHE AND I AND SHE IS WILLING TO HELP ANYONE WHOM MIGHT NEED HER(SHE KNOWS THAT I RELIED HEAVILY ON THIS SITE AND SOME ADDITONAL WEB RESEARCH).     Your sister is blessed to have you in her life. I am sure you have read many stories here of family and friends that seem to back away from people with cancer. The support and understanding you have given your sister might well of meant the difference between someone giving up the fight and someone having the will to win. She will continue to struggle with the many side effects and mental issues of cancer and the treatments. But life is much easier with someone like you around that shows the love and caring that is needed. Its pretty hard to beat a loving hug at the right time from someone that really cares.
