ok - I have lost the esophageal cancer discussion board; I can't even find esophageal ca in the listing. What am I doing wrong? I must be stressed if I lost that! (LOL)

    EC Discussion Board
    Judyloo -

I haven't been able to locate one either. I thought that maybe there wasn't one and thought - that's just great, this is the one that I need. I hope that they get it back soon. I have so many questions - My Dad was diagnosed w/ EC on Father's Day weekend - Happy Father's DAy, right? We found out the week of 4th of July that it was stage 4 and it has just really gone downhill from there.

I'll keep checking back and seeing if the EC discussion board comes back.

    missing EC D/B
At the very least they could have sent out a message to all of us using that D/B - it was a small group but so much in common. Now I guess we scramble to find info amongst head & neck ca. Just simple courtesy would have been nice (especially when you are living some of the worst times of your life and need to talk to someone who is there or has been there.) Next week my husband will probably get a stent put in his esophagus (stricture that just won't dilate) and we are both stressed out and so bummed about that. So I was going to ask the group about stents etc - for good or bad we are always seeking information. We got the DX just before XMas of 2007; he finished chemo/rt and the surgery April. What a journey this has been - some of my lowest lows in my life - but so grateful when the path came back negative. But with EC you live with such poor stats I am so afraid of recurrence I live just in the present (we both do) so hard to plan for the future right now.
I'm so sorry to hear your Dad is not doing well right now - I know there were folks with stage 4 on the D/B; however, if we can help you out with any question or just be there to listen here we are. Maybe we could do the chat room sometime when you are up to it. I know its so tough on the family as well - my daughter calls her Dad about 4 times a day to check on him and then before bed - talk about role changes - you'd have to know Kate to get it but she has grown up so much since her Dad's DX.
TAke care of yourself so you can take care of your Dad - you are now in my prayers,
