Soccerfreaks had surgery, infection taken care of, he is out of ICU and doing well.
  • cuzzy,
soccerfreaks has been in the hospital, first to have a lobe removed form his lung, then he got a staff infection. HOWEVER, he is home today and doing MUCH better. I am sure he will be back with you guys here as soon as he can.
BTW...I am a chat room regular and that is where I heard the news.

cuzzy: thank you for your concern! It is greatly appreciated!

As Za indicates in her post, I have been out of pocket since Jan 31. I went into the hospital for a wedge biopsy of a spot on my right lung -- they were concerned that it was metastisis from the head and neck cancer. If so, they were going to go with chemo. If it was new, primary, they were going to do lobectomy. As it turned out, it was malignant, but they couldn't decide whether it was new or not, so they did the lobe job.

Anyway, I was to be out within about five days, even cut my ICU stay down to one day rather than expected two. But then I got hit by a bug, MSSA (not MRSSA), that extended my stay to almost a month.

I am fine now, and looking forward to spending time in here again, among some very good friends, including yourself.

Hope all is going well for you, cuzzy.

    Thanks again for the concern.
