Myxoid Liposarcoma Tests???

I had surgery two weeks ago and diagnosed with myxoid liposarcoma up to margins (gross of tumor). The orthopedic surgeon said that this is because the tumor was deep within my muscle and the muscle they removed with the tumor contracts into the tumor when cut, contaminating the muscle. Either way, he is sending me for 6 weeks of radiation. What can I expect from this radiation? Also, he only ordered a chest CT and said it is rare for this type of cancer to spread (he has been wrong in my case 2x already) and all I need is chest CT. This makes me VERY nervous, since I keep reading that when spread, it is typically to abdomen, spine, etc. and I currently have digestive, as well as back probs. Because of the rarity, I can't find anyone else who knows. PLEASE tell me what kind of testing I should be getting now. Thanks!

God Bless You. I don't have anything to offer in line of your question, but I recently had an MRI and was sent to an orthopaedic oncologist about a soft tissue mass above my left ankle. I am nervous as squat! Sure hope your news gets better!
