How long do chemo drugs remain in the body?
I was told it remains in the system longer if the kidneys are not functioning properly - which doesn't really answer my question because the kidneys are in fine shape.
I was just wondering: On average: how long does a chemo drug do it's work by remaining in the system?
If you have any information about this please let me know!

    Hello,

I apologize for the delay in my response. I suggest you contact the American Cancer Society's National Cancer Information Center. Because different chemotherapy treatment my have different effects, they would be best source of information. Cancer Information Specialists are available 24 hours a day at 1-800-227-2345.

    Take care and be well,

The reason you're not getting the answers you are looking for is that drs don't really know. They know how to "treat" cancer but they don't know just how far reaching the effects of these drugs are. I baffled them more than once. One thing I did after treatments to sort of hit a "reset" button in my body was to do a body cleanse. Cleanses have since become part of my routine. If you do any research about chronic disease such as cancer, you'll quickly find that one thing most have in common is that it starts in the bowel, in the intestines. Not that your cancer started there- but the breakdown of your body's physiology likely started because of a build up of toxins in your blood stream, which is exactly what having a clogged colon will do. So I recommend colonix.org. It is not drastic, you don't have to rearrange your schedule to fit restroom time in. It is made of 100% natural ingredients. It will rid your body of a lot of common toxins such as candida, parasites and many others...
It is a 2 month program.
After that- or even during that I recommend you start juicing. You need to be infusing your body with nutrients it is so deprived of. Invest in a masticating type (omega and champion make good ones) it will cost you around 220-250 but it's worth every penny if it means your body can heal and get the nutrients it needs. I guarentee you'll be amazed at how you feel when you're juicing!
also, get on a pharmaceutical grade fish oil, a probiotic to replace the good flora you've lost, and get on a fast dissolving multi vitamin. That's your armor for the future and a good way to build your body back up after all its been through. I also can't say enough about how regular chiropractic care has made a difference for me. I never believed in it before but now I understand how crucial the nervous system is. if its not working efficently, your tissues and cells die off. We don't need that. we need them well and strong. so I recommend you look up a wellness chiropractor in your area.
just let moving towards whole health be your priority- nothing else, none of the other unanswered questions really matter. Just empower yourself by educating yourself. check out these 2 resources: Eat to Live by Dr. Joel Fuhrman and the China Study by Dr. Campbell. Both excellent. Both eye-openers. also checkout cancerproject.org. Be well!
