Hi Everyone,

I have a question, most of U know about my Sister.Well, she stopped taking the treatments about a few months ago.She said she couldn't take anymore, couldn't handle it,and that since they got all of the cancer during surgery and she had had 3 treatments before surgery,3 after, then she was suppose to take more treatments for a year, just couldn't handle that full year. She called me the other day and I am worried about what might be going on in her body her counts are starting to rise, it's not much but I still don't like it.Could it possibly be caused from stress? She dropped her ins for financial reasons about a month ago.If something is wrong she will have to go into a trial or something to get treatments. She was a stage 3 in the beginning they got her counts down to 11 and they have stayed there until recently now it is 14.

Any ideas? I always value your input,God Bless You All!
Love & Hugs

    Hi Sue
I wish I had the words to take the worry away for you. I can hear the worry in your letter. Counts can fluctuate and one persons "low" count can be high for someone else. The CA125 is not always a reliable indicator because other things such as hormones, food, can make it rise. I don't know if stress is one of those factors but maybe someone else on the board will know. When my Mom was going through treatments I think I worried more about her and her health than I did when I was going through chemo. It is hard not to! I know I haven't given you much but maybe you can find something on the ACS sight or try one of the Ovarian cancer sights. Good luck. Your sister is lucky to have someone watching out for her that loves her so much.

Thanks Jami for the response ,I didn't think about the hormones or diet.I guess it could be anything, she is going to set an appointment with the health dept next to get everything checked again. I know worring doesn't get us anywhere and I try not to but continue to pray for her recovery. I know too many are suffering and struggling with thier own battles my prayers are with all of you too. I do appreciate your support and kind words, thank you and God Bless You!
