I was dx stage 3c in June 04. Had six carbo/taxol and ca125 was 5. In Jan 06 ca125 went up to 40 and had recurrence in the pelvis. I went on a clinical trial of carbo/alimta had 10 treatments and my ca125 went down to 9 and then started to rise again. It is now 20 and pet scan shows liver mets (new). Dr suggests doxil and iressa (clinical trial). Has anyone had success with doxil treating liver mets? I am really upset and nervous and the new findings. I would appreciate any advice you have.

Sorry to hear you are dealing with a recurrence. I have had cancer on my liver ever since diagnosis. I have had doxil all by itself and it did give me a short remission and have heard better results when it is combined with another chemo. Remember to follow all the rules for the hand foot syndroym that doxil causes. Prayers N Hugs Bonnie

As Bonnie, I'm sorry you have to deal with this again. Many of us are in the same boat, so let's sail together! You have come to the right place. I cannot offer you advice and tips on your treatment as someone like Bonnie can, but I can offer prayers and hugs. That's something that we all need and can pass along to you, even via this webiste.
