My Life Partner has been diagnosed with poorly differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma aka liver cancer. He has been offered an opportunity to participate in a stage 2 clinical trial involving perifastine. I can not find anything on this clinical trial and we have to make a decision quickly as his health deteriorating quickly.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Anne

Hello!! I was wondering if you had looked on the american cancer website for this trial. If not please do so. Where did you learn of this trial? They should have given you info on this. You can also go to webmd on the internet and check in to this medicine. I will do some checking myself and get back to you. Hang in there.. Keep the faith. In Gods Love... Barbara

In phase I/II trials it has induced tumor regressions and/or caused disease stabilization in a variety of tumor types. Perifosine has shown single agent partial responses or long term disease stabilizations in solid tumors including, renal, hepatocellular, sarcoma and prostate cancer. Responding patients, including stable disease, have been treated for months to almost 3 years, on both the daily and weekly schedule...
