Greetings everyone, I am new and looking for feedback, good websites, books, ideas etc... from people that are fighting cancer through an agressive diet plan. I'll try to keep this story short. Recently my Wife and I have relocated accross the counrty to help. Currently my Dad and my Sister both have lung cancer, my Dad had a tumor in his thigh removed about two years ago and now has spots on his lungs... Dr. says no chemo nor surgury as option...gave him a 6 to 12 months to live. my Sister started out with cervical cancer, surgury to remove it, a year after that she had a lung removed now another year after that she currently has spots on her one remaining lung as well as her kidney there are some spots. She is on week four of chemo now... I have been trying to learn as much as possiable, options ideas...etc... I am learning that it is possiable to beat cancer through diet. #1 EAT NO REFINED SUGAR PRODUCT, Sugar feeds Cancer cells. How many of you know this? Say NO to cookies and junk... Rule #2 by a vegetable juicer and build the immune system to its peak. I have read some people are drinking a varied ingrediance juicer veggie drink every hour along with good clean foods at meal time...Is anyone out there doing this? Starve the cancer with no sugar and feed the immune system... sounds logical. Research sugar and you will be blown away how common it is and how bad it is. Perhaps you can share your diet plans, ideas, thoughts, recipies. I want to help fight this and If this is a possiable way I will move forward and push them to do whatever it takes. I hope I am not just wasting time nor going down a incorrect path but it really makes sence that it can be done through an aggresive controled diet. I really dont want to just be a helping hand around here with little things, I want to save my Dad and Sister. Bless you all out there in amazing ways...

Hi, I have small cell lung cancer and it is dormant four years this last february. I would encourage a good diet, but I do not believe in controling cancer with a diet. My older sister is in hospice right now, and only has days to live over her trying to kill cancer thru nutrition. I went thru chemo (four chemo's) and six and a half weeks of radiation, five times a day. I would be there to help your father and sister , and help them get thru treatment. I would also talk to their oncologists and dietician and make sure they know how you feel, but I would ultimately let their doctors make this type of a decision. I agree on a healthy diet but when I was in treatment, I was soooo sick ,that my wife fed me whatever I thought I could get down and stay down. How would you expect to change what has happened in a whole lifetime with a change of food now? I would again suggest to be there and support them , and get them thru the treatment, and then and only then would I consider not eating what they might want while going through this damn treatment. I hope I don't sound like some kind of nut , but I have been there , and it is no picnic. Huggs and God bless Mike

I think supplements, diet and exercise can have a positive effect on ones fight with cancer. You can read my story and see some of the things I am doing to beat my cancer. You can type ernrol in the search box at top of screen or type "LIFE IS GREAT" in the phrase word box of the personnel web search. If you have any questions just e-mail; me.

I would get a second opinion on your dad. There is someone out there that will treat him. It may take a little research. To start with you might try M.D. Anderson or Sloan Ketteering.

I read your post and see that you have small cell lung cancer and it has been dormant for 4 years! My sister age 44 was just diagnosed with small cell and it gives me hope for her that there are people surviving this. Thanks for some hope

Hi There I would also try the Cancer Treatments of America in Tulsa OK. That is where I bought the book BEATING CANCER WITH NUTRITION, At the center they incorporate good eating habits along with vitimans and antioxidents to bust the immune system, but at the same time do Chemo and Radiation when possible Never give up hope. It's up to God how long we live. When a Dr. puts a time line on it they are only going by statistics

Hi Ernrol, thanks for your reply... your a amazing inspiration... Its a bit difficult in some ways being here in Canada however we can get access to most any Health food item there is out there. Not sure if we can get Tarceva here though... keep up the good work, you're showing us all that it can be done!
