Last week my husband completed his radiation for cancer of the larynx. The last two and a half weeks he had radiation twice a day. Along with the thick mucas, he is having difficulty with 'bubbling' in his throat. He says it's like someone poured peroxide down there. He can actually feel the sides of his throat bubbling. He can't sleep for more than a half an hour at a time as this stuff chokes him if he doesn't spit it out. Anyone know what this is or what to do about it? Thanks for your help.

I had the same foaming. It came and went for a couple of weeks. It's gross and seems to be endless. I just kept a load of tissues by the bed and a big waste basket. The good news is that it is temporary!! My radiation for throat cancer finished in Feberuary and both my saliva and taste buds are 80% nornmal and climbing fast. The saliva symptoms come and go in ever decreasing waves. Hope this helps. Things will be back to normal sooner than you can possibly imagine now. All my love to you both. Chris
