My husband has been diagonised with pancreatic cancer at Christamas, since then he has had the whipple surgery and while recooperating(5weeks) from the surgery the cancer has spread to the liver. The oncologist cancelled the radiation before it ever began, and he is now on Gemzar 100 minutes every other Monday and Oxiplatin(spelled wrong-used for colon cancer patients and experimental in pancreatic cancer) for 100 minutes on every other tuesday. This has all happened in 3 months. I would likem to know what treatments will be available now that it has spread to the Liver. His doctor is still keeping him on the chemo for 6 months. Can they do radiation to the liver afterwards? Is this a Death sentence nowthat it has spread to another organ? I am beyond devastated. He is only 49 years old and he is my best friend in the whole world. Is there anyone out that it has metasized to another organ and what are they doing to treat you? Thank you for any information you can provide and God Bless.

Hi Cindy, Just want to say my wife was diagnosed with the same at christmas, and cancer had already spread to the liver. She is also on Gemzar which is Great. Hang in. Don't believe bad statistics. Things have changed over the past few years. Better ways of using Gemzar are being discovered all the time. SO DO NOT GIVE UP.

    Hi There,
My Dad is dying of Pancreatic Cancer. Not sure what stage or anything. I lost his Mom to it before I was ever born, then my Mom's Mom died of Pancreatic Cancer as well 3 years ago now. My Dad is on SOO many drugs, he says things like "someone is banging on the roof", or tells me that My Mom is yelling. They have been divorced since I was 10(now 27). I live far away from him, b/c my hubby is Military, so this has been very sad. He lives with my Aunt(his sister), and she is SO good to him. God will reward her. Thanks for letting me say all that...

Have you heard of Essiac? A dear relative of mine was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. So, I have been doing a lot of research. This seems to be an alternative for people. When hope seems to be lost, it is found in Essiac tea. We are going to begin to make it for my uncle. You should read up about it. I am confident it works and saves lives and am anxious for my uncle to be taking it.
