A big thanks to all my pals on this board for welcoming my news in despite lax participation on my part. It's like I have never been away (six months comes around fast when you have to swallow that vile contrast)
I still follow the messages and it does my heart good to see how much you all care for one another.
We are the original reality show. No games. No winners or losers. Just folks facing the cruel facts of this disease. And I am so proud of each and every one of you including the caregivers.
Oh, the things those doctors do to us in the name of science. It is so barbaric. Maybe that is why surgeons were originally barbers. But seriously ... life is too serious to take things so seriously. So keep on laughing through the tears. We must survive until they find a cure. Some of us will fade away in the process but remember you are a survivor until you draw your last breath. And then you will live on in our memories.
I am continually amazed at the kindness extended to me throughout my own journey by my family and friends and medical staff at the hospital. Yes, even those dreaded doctors who are only using the tools at hand. We need that thing from Star Trek. Bones waved it over his patients to analyze and cure in seconds. They were out of sickbay in no time. Well, perhaps our children will enjoy that kind of progress. Until then I humbly accept your good wishes. The world needs more people like you.

Aspaysia, happy to be your friend.

"The original Reality Show" - wow... truer words never spoken...

    - We do crazy stunts to inflict pain on our body

    - We eat stuff that is certainly as bad as, if not worse than that nasty bug stuff they munch on Fear Factor

    - We face real harsh realities

The only difference is that we never vote anyone off the island - although sometimes our friends do move on in one way or another. And we miss them terribly.

    Glad you're back, AssP...

(Pssst.... we need to form a pact against granola girl. I won't vote for her blueberry smoothies if you don't, deal?)

Sorry, mate. Can't vote against blueberries. They contain antioxidents - death to mutant cells. But why waste them on smoothies? Who wants Pie?

    Asp,

You are right on girlfriend - what a great place to be - right here amongst the semi-colons. Good friends, good advise, good compassion.

Don't stay away so long - we've missed you. Glad you are doing so well.

    Kerry

I love your message but Spongebob calling you AssP bothers me. He seems to have what I call a "bootie thing". Talk about anal retentiive!!!!! And we thought he was semi-colon!!!!!

Just kidding SB or should it be BS??????

I don't post often, but when I read one like yours I have to respond. Messages like yours is why I bookmarked this site in the first place.

THANK YOU!!!!!! I am grateful to say I know you. You along with many others make me a better person.
