Hi everybody, I had the first of my melanoma surgery today. For those of you who are new, I am a colon cancer patient of 1 1/2 years and recently diagnosed with melanoma on my nose and on my arm. I got home from the surgical center today at 3:30pm and all went well. Nose is in a bandage - looks pretty strange. Next Friday, the 23rd I have the arm surgery done, then hopefully its all over!! Yeah. The nose came out clean. So I am thankful.

All of you out there coping with your diagnosis, you are in my prayers. I had my colon surgery 1 and 1/2 years ago and finished my chemo a year ago July 9. I have been blessed that I have been in remission since, except for the diagnosis of melanoma on the nose and arm. But that is OK, I can beat that too.

God's blessing to all of you.

Kerry

Thanks Kanga and Jen for the encouraging words. My "nose" was pre-cancerous, so for that I am very fortunate and happy. Don't know about the scarring yet - it on the very tip, but I'm past the vanity stuff!

Thanks again - you always have such caring words for everyone. Hope you both are doing well, living happy and healthy there "down under".

I am glad to hear that the melanoma was pre-cancerous. I bet your nose will look great, surgery is so much better than it used to be. Keep up that great attitude!

    Hi Kerry,

I'm so glad that your surgery on your nose went well and that the spot was pre-cancerous.

I will be praying and thinking about you on Friday. I know it will go well.

    Hugs,

    Kay
