    Sandybelle,
So sorry you have had to deal with a recurrence of your cancer. I hope you find some support from this list. Another list where you might find support from others who have had to deal with stomach cancer is the ACOR list. www.acor.org, then register for the stomach cancer list. There are helpful and supportive people on the list who will answer your questions and share their experiences. I am also a stomach cancer survivor (had surgery in 02). Hope you are recovering well from your surguries.

    Steven,

Was not able to send you an email. Sorry you are having to deal with stomach cancer in your family. It is a rough journey - but one that can be won. After surgery in 2002, chemo and radation into 2003, I am now cancer free. A healthy optimism and a fighting spirit help. If personal email correspondance would be helpful - send me an email on this ACS email list - I'll respond.

My dad was diagnosed with stomach and colon cancer in March '04. He had a total gastrectomy and part of his colon removed in March and has since been going through chemo/radiation. It has been over 4 weeks since he's had any treatment and he feels so bad that they have postponed his chemo that was supposed to resume a week and a half ago. He is so sick, has lost 65 pounds and can not eat or drink anything. He is 62 years old. He has been on TPN foe a few weeks now as he was dehydrated and showing signs of starvation. Is it normal for him to feel SO lousy when he hasn't had treatment in so long???? Will he ever feel better??? The doctors don't seem to know why he's so sick. Can anyone help??

I am a Stage 3 survivor still cancer free at 4 years and four months since diagnosis. On threads on Stomach Cancer i have detailed my war with this difficult foe. Get a good oncologist and take strong chemotherapy.

i do not believe in alternative holistic therapy. I would have died.
