My sister is terminal

Hello friends...My sister was diagnosed with Vaginal Cancer less than a year ago. Two days ago she went in for her exonoration (sp)and they could not proceed. My sister has been given less than 2 months of life and it is devistating to our family. We lost our mother 9 years ago to bone marrow cancer. I am so worried for her children as they will soon be experiencing the loss of their mother as did we. Does anyone know of any support groups..suggested reading material..anything that I can use as a tool to help her children. We did not have any support when our Mother died and it was devistating. I don't want them to go through what we did and although I pray for a miracle for my sister, I know in my heart its not possible.

Please help if you can

    Hi Cindy,
I am so sorry that your Sister is so ill. The American Cancer Society should have some information on support groups for families of cancer victims. I really just wanted to show my support for you, your sister, and your family. Maybe your sister will fool them all. I am sending you my best possible wishes during this time.

    Hi Cindy,

My name is Maria (from Hystersisters) I spoke to Virgie a while back and am wondering how she is doing. We were supposed to have our extenterations at the same time, but sadly, she did not have hers and I had mine, but there were lot's of complications. Anyway, how is your sister? I have been wanting to call her again but just don't know what time to call her. I live in Holland (but I'm from Texas) and there is a 7 hour time difference. I know this must be very hard for you. I am married and my husband and I were discussing yesterday or the day before how he feels so bad emotionally for me. Bless his heart. So I have an idea what you are going through. I also have an aunt with stage 4 leukemia and we are in contact. It's always difficult. Please let me know how Virgie is doing and if I can call.

    Hugs

    Maria

    Hi MariaA,

Virgie has told me about you and the fact that your situations were very similar. My sister is at home..her eldest daughter is taking such good care of her. I visit her almost every night after work and she is a real trooper! Honestly..the strongest woman I have known. I don't know what to say really other than she is alive and making the most of her days with as much spunk as she can bring.

Please email me at either my home or work and we can keep in touch. I will tell her you asked about her and hope that she understands. : ) Best of luck to you in your recovery!
