I would bet that the freezing process would tend to damage the pulp - but they'll keep for weeks in a cold fridge (or outside on your porch, Bud!).

My solution is to get in the RV and drive to Mexico where you can walk out and pull on off the tree anytime you want one.

Got juiced last Friday... drank some OJ this morning, but otherwise not juicin' (not yet anyway!)

Please tell me you aren't contemplating an avacado smoothie... OMG, that would look like something they'd make you drink on Fear Factor...

Actually, Pattie, tequila is the liquor of choice when blending an avacado smoothie. It is also very important to use ORGANIC tomatos and FRESH cilantro, ROASTED garlic and a splash of just squeezed Lime juice.

I like to serve mine chunky style by adding chips to the blender. Juice on puree for 30 seconds then add the chips, juice on grind for 6-10 seconds until you reach the desired consistency.

    Hi Bud,
I prefer my avocados in guacamole, but Trader's Joes (a specialty grocer out of California, of course) does sell frozen guacamole in hermetically sealed packs. I suppose if you squirted a little lemon on it, it might prevent that rotten brown look!
Went to a new onc office today, and their library included a book called "smoothies"; lots of cool recipes, and they recommended chopping and freezing all sort of fruits: banana, mango, papaya, melon, berries. I buy frozen berries to use for mine, but packing/freezing them at home seems like it could work. No mention of how to use veggies, sorry Em, need to look to you for that! Keep on juicin' Judy

I've got a new smoothie book that has lots of recipes for both fruits and vegetables, Hang on let me run and get it................................................OK, I'm back It's called "Super Smoothies" 50 recipes for Health and energy by Mary Corpening Barber and Sara Corpening Whiteford. Nice book.
    Here's an Avacado smoothie,

Blend together One 14 1/4 oz. can tomatoes with juice

1/2 C low fat lemon yogurt
    1/2C chopped avacado
    2 tblsp. tomato paste
    1/2 teasp. blsamic vinegar
    1 teasp. celery salt
    dash of tobasco
    2-4 ice cubes, crushed

haven't tried it,probably tastes like gazpacho. Says, It's source of nutrients for pregnant women, ha ha, glad that I wasn't looking for it for that reason.
