Hi everyone,
I have finished my 4th round of AC, might...have a 5th before the baby is to be born. Just this past week I have been getting these strange rash on my hands. They kinda look like tiny warts. They are hard, kinda itchy and they kinda hurt also. I have noticed today they are coming up on my toes and tops of my feet. Has anyone experienced this? I don't think this is pregnancy related but I guess you never know. If anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. Thanks to everyone. :-)

    Angel,

Sounds like something you should show the doctor altho' he/she might not know either! I would check it out.

I'm wishing you success with your treatment -the answer to the rash - and a healthy baby.

I'd like to tell you about a story I read when I was awaiting my first chemo - I was apprehensive. On a website I found this: A woman who was pregnant as you and with breast cancer lived in PA and went to Ohio to the Cleveland Clinic to a doctor who has some experience with this situation. She had the AC and after reading that, I thought: If she could do that and be pregnant, I shouldn't be afraid to have it.

She mentioned that at delivery the baby had a full head of hair - Mom was bald - and both were okay.

    Hugs, Jean

    Jean,
Thank you so much for telling me that story. The more I hear such good and inspiring stories, the more relaxed I get about having this baby. I actually found a website devoted to pregnant women with cancer and that has been wonderful.
I am going to call my doctor today about the rash..that darn rash.
Again, thanks so much for your kind words.
    God Bless, Angel

    Hi Angel
I started a little rash on my hands and feet that was from the chemo. It itched and felt sore like bruises. It went away after I finished the AC ... then I started Taxotere ... a whole different set of side effects. Good Luck ... you are doing great!!!

Thanks for the info and the encouraging words. Is Taxol like or is Taxotere? Just curious cuz I start Taxol after the baby. Thanks again and hope you are well.

    Hi Angel,
I have to tell you that weird medical conditions always seem to happen in my family.....(it carries on with my kids, I have a complex that my pediatrician thinks we are freaks lolol)
A few hours after I gave birth to my daughter (who's 13 now), I broke out with the most HORRIBLE rash. It was VERY RED AND ITCHY and a little painful too. It started on my hands and then my feet (ugh in between the toes) then a little on my knees and elbows. I was never so happy to be in the hospital, so I could get HELP (lol) with that rash. My Ob come in to see me and I showed him the rash (actually it was very obvious) He said hmm its a Pregnancy rash!( I have never heard of anyone having this, before or since then, he acted like it was no big deal) He did say it was unusual(of course) for me to get it after delivery most women get it just before (days or weeks)
delivery. I think they gave me some sort of antihistamine. At the time he said they didn't know exactly what caused it but assumed it was something with horomones. It did go away after a few days. I'm sure this wasn't real helpful,
but when I saw Rash and Pregnancy I had to share my little story!
    GOOD LUCK!

    Hi Diane,
Thanks so much for the info. It is very interesting. It's strange cuz I do have it on my toes also and that makes it hurt when I walk. I also have a bit on my knees. It's more or less going away on my hands. I still have a few. I am actually 2 months away from my due date but only a month away from delivery. I go to my OB again next week so will ask her about it. It doesn't really seeem to be getting worse..but will keep an eye on it. I appreciate you telling me your story, it was helpful.:-) Thanks again and Hope you are well.
