Hi. How did you do? I know that you might not get home for a couple of more days. I got to go home one day early! The tumor was the size of a cantalope, my dr took a picture. It was a teratoma with borderline cells. He did a staging, but does not expect to find any more cancer. I should be able to keep the other ovary/uterus. He said we would talk a little bit about chemo at the next appointment... after all of the labs are back. He said that he might want me to do six treatments for preventative measures, but if the labs are PERFECT then I won't have to do anything else for six months.

    taggs,
Hi there. My name is Beth. I was 30 when I was diagnosed with a teratoma. Your story sounds a bit like mine. I will keep you in my prayers. I went through the chemo as a precaution...the labs came back with the cells being between a grade 1/ grade 2. The doctors and I wanted to be aggressive to be on the safe side. I am so thrilled I did! I was able to keep my left ovary and am hoping to conceive my fourth child (first one since the cancer) beginning next month. If you have any questions from someone who has been through the same type of cancer...let me know. I would love to be in touch with you!
    Love, Beth

I'm so glad to hear about your outcome (even though I'm not Stacie). I wish you congratulations, and a long, happy, healthy life.
