Possible return of breast cancer

Four years ago I was found to have cancer in the right breast. I had that breast removed and took 6 months of chemo. Have been doing great until this summer. Two weeks ago I had a lump appear on the top of the scar. It was removed, and it was nothing more than scar tissue. Thank the good Lord! Now, through self-examination I have found another lump on my left breast. This was found after being examined by my oncology surgeon, my gyn, my oncology doctor, and mammogram. None of the above felt anything, nor did the mammogram pick up anything. The lump is located on the very top toward the nipple. If this were cancer, it seems like it would have easily been seen on a mammogram. I had a sonogram done Friday. The report stated that there was a suspicious area and that it needed to be biopsied. My doctor is hoping because of the way everything has happened that it is just a fibroid cyst. Has anyone out there had anything like this to happen to them? If so, please tell me what happened. Also, please pray for me. I am having surgery Wednesday and will find the results out Thursday or Friday. May God bless

I also had small lump in left breast after several years and it was OK. Thank goodness for biopsies that can set our minds at ease. Just 2 months ago had a small nodule on chest wall on right side, checked out OK just fatty and scare tissue. We just can't let anything go unchecked can we. Know you will be fine please let us all know.

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer. I know what you mean when you say you feel like you are going crazy waiting. That is the hard part. I still don't know the outcome of mine yet. I will find out tomorrow morning. I really have a good feeling about everything though. All we can do is keep God in our hearts and put complete trust and faith in Him. I will keep you in my prayers. May God bless you and give you the strength you need.

Thanks so much for taking time out to answer me. I still do not know the outcome yet. Should know tomorrow. I did receive a letter from my hospital saying that on my mammogram there were no signs of cancer. Hope they are right, but was told that when cancer was found in my right breast. But I have a good feeling about this, and I have put my complete faith in the Lord. After what I have been through, I found that giving him my burdens was the only way that I could handle what life has dealt. But I know without a doubt that God DOES answer prayers. May God bless you!
