Hi, I was just diagnosed with lung cancer yesterday, by CT scan at a hospital. I'm here on the net, waiting to go to a clinic to find out how bad it is. The doctor at the hospital was couldnt tell me much because he's not a specialist, but it freeks me out that maybe he didnt want to tell me everything. I don't know what kind of cancer it is or what stage it is. I'm going to the clinic, to work out a "game plan". I'm devistated, but i quess i dont really know what to think untill i know more.

So very sorry about your lung cancer. Please keep in touch. I am kind of new on this message board also. But, I find it very comforting talking to all of the nice people here. Everyone is very supportive. Please let me know how you are. Good luck.

Thanks for your concearn. I still don't know for sure how bad things are. I go for a biopsy tommorow, and the doctor can't really answer all my questions untill they know for sure what we're dealing with. Its in my right lung, and there are suspicions about lymph nodes in the middle. Can't determine treatment options untill biopsy results are in. It's really been a roller coaster ride the last couple of days.

I felt the same way you did when I was first told I had lung cancer. That was almost 5 years ago. I had stage 111A non small cell lung cancer. I was 43 at the time. I had chemo (carboplatin and etopiside) and radiation, both at the same time, after my lobectomy. It is a devastating thing to be told you have cancer.
