Hello all, how are we all doing today? I had my Taxol last Wed and now am finally feeling human again, it did not hit me so hard in the pain area but more in my head,I was tired but too wired to wired to sleep, I could not even get on the phone to talk,my words were slurred and I made no sense. But today I can actually focus on the screen in front of my face. How are you all doing? There have not been many new postings in the past week,so I will assume we have all been miserable together. The weather here is cold and damp, we had lots of snow the other night but it was gone the next morning, my husband is putting up all our christmas lights before it gets too cold, and I have almost all the inside decorating done. Well, I gained another six pounds, every three weeks that I go for chemo,i get on the scale and my husband cheers,I am lucky he likes "something to hang on to" as he phrases it. How are you making out staying at home now Jackie? It is kind of nice especially around this time of year.Sue,any snow on the west coast ,ha ha, I have friends going to comox in January and i have a friend out there already, he calls in the middle of January and says he is mowing his lawn, must be nice. What is New Zealand like? It is a place i have always loved to go to,and Ireland,so green and old.My dad is from Spain and he took me there after my high school graduation to meet his family, wow, it was amazing, absolutely beautiful and so relaxed, the Europeans really know how to live.So where is everyone else from? Families? Some of you do not have personal web page, but i like to know about people, especially geographic areas,i would love to travel the world and meet different cultures and customs. Well,I know this is entirely cancer unrelated, but its nice to talk about something else for a change eh? I hope you all are feeling great and keeping your spirits up.Big Hugs to you all.Tiger xoxoxox

Hi ellen, this is loulou. Where in Minnesota are you from? I am also from Minnesota, St.Paul area. It sounds like we may be having a real winter this year. I have grown to like the last few years of nice winters. Oh well. It must be a good feeling to be near the end of treatment for you. You get so used to going to treatment everyday, I think I went through withdrawls when I finished. I think I just missed the routine, and the people I met there. I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner. I usually have most of my shopping done by now, not this year. I still don't know what I even want to get people. That's weird for me. Well, talk with you later, loulou

Today New Zealand is warm but windy. We are having a late onset to summer. NZ is beautiful all year as we do not get big seasonal swings in the North Island. Winter low (daytime ) is 10 degrees C and summer high is 30 degrees C. No snow except in the mountains where there are great ski fields. I live near a beautiful beach and walk on it when I have the energy. I don't have any this week as I am undergoing radiation for bone pain & I am very tired but next week will be better. I pray for all of us that we have the strength to hang on in there in the bad days and the network support sure helps.

Tiger here, I am sorry to hear about that big rig knocking you over, but like the true Canadian you are you will just get up,brush yourself off and carry on as you have, with a positive attitude, dont let your body tell you what it is doing, you tell your body what it is going to do!! Now you have someone to love and support you, he must be a wonderful man to go through this with you,but warn him if he hurts you I'll jump on the next scare air and come out there and kick his ****!!!!!The future is brighter for all of us,we just have to fight our way through some clouds, hang in there and fight the good fight, Big hug coming your way, love Tiger xoxox
