surgery on remaining breast

Just wondering if anybody has gone up a size or two by adding an implant to your remaining breast?

I guess after complaining to my PS on the implant size (all 3) always being too small, she finally 'heard' me and put this implant back in when doing the flap surgery.  Consequently it's about 2 sizes too big!  There's just been so much surgery done on that side and well, I'm thinking I'd like to get the remaining breast sized up to match instead of downsizing...

Or is this not one of my better ideas?  SurprisedWinkLaughing

    I had a single Mast. on right breast
    I was pretty flat chested so to balance them I had an implant in the left as well. I too had 3 different implants on the mast side. There were issues with the first 2, so the 3's a charm worked in my case.
    I went from a AA to a full B, small C.
    My plastic surgeon suggested doing both. He said if I only did an implant on the right side, they wouldnt balance as one would be natural and gravity as I age would naturally droop, and the right side would be perky. I was small to begin with so I wasnt even going to have reconstruction, then surgeons, breast and ps and sisters talked me into it. They all felt I was too young not to I was 44.
    He did the mast side first, then a small implant on the left side to balance.

    Good luck on whatever you decide! Mine are now 12 and still look 1! :))

    I don't think my PS is particularly any good at reconstruction, I'm not real happy with mine as it's more off to the side than anything else.  But it's just 'supposed' to look well enough with clothes or so I've been told.  I really don't have much of a choice, it's county.  But, I think I'll ask; the worst they can do is to say no, right?!!  Smile

    I would.
    My first one slipped thru the 'pocket' they sewed. We thought it had leaked out. 2 weeks later when he went back in, that one was so mis-shaped, where I had the mast. my bone structure was dif from the left side. My ribs and ollarbone always stuck out more than the right, and the implant just didnt sit right. It looked like a mis-shaped water balloon.
    When it came to the third, I was seriously talking to the surgeon about taking them out.
    Finally the third looked better, but I was so scarred. Then they tried making the nip... that was a joke. It was the size of a quarger, but by about 10days it was flat as could be. The skin was so tight that it flattened it right out.
    So I went to a tatoo artist to have one tatood on. When she saw all the scars, she ended up just tatooing a beautiful hummingbird and Hibiscus over the whole right side. Now I can say it is beautiful!
    Iwill keep my fingers crossed that county allows it.
