Oh you "guys"...!!  Now I am

Oh you "guys"...!!  Now I am the one blushing..!   Yes, I was a tad dissappointed that there was no additional shinkage.. and yes two Lymph nodes had minor growth...  but my main Oncologist only spent a few minutes... yes Inlta is still working.. no, no need to escalate the doseage,, see me is 6 weeks.. go home and be happy.. all is good...  Of course the other doctor did a thorough check up... breathing normal, no nasty anything to be found...

Actually, the Pizza will wait a few days... but it WILL happen...

    Thank you all..!!

    Ron

Way to go Ron, Ron, Ron!  Way

Way to go Ron, Ron, Ron!  Way to go Ron, Ron, Ron!

I think those scans are very good! I may be wrong but I did read that Inlyta sometimes the first scan doesn't project much. Stable is great, NO NEW METS is even better!  Minor growth, as I was told could be an error in calculation and they allow for a small amount.  And you feel pretty good which is nice!  I am betting the next set of scans will be even better!

He sat on his bike and he took a ride

Dat be Ron, Ron, Dat be Ron, Ron!

He got good scan results, that are bonafide

Dat be Ron, Ron, Dat be Ron, Ron!

Keep up the good work Ron, and with that attitude, all the nurse are going to be a bomb! It all depends on how you see them!

Thanks for the good words Fox, Ron and others.. let's keep the Karma going...

    Thanks again all..!!  I guess

Thanks again all..!!  I guess I should give the rest of the story...  True no growth or shrinkage in the Mets.. but two Lymph Nodes did grow slightly.. 2 and 4 MM respectively.. not a big leap in size.. My Doctor is not concerned.. of course not.. she is not the one with Cancer..  And true it is not much.. still tons better than the alternative.. Still I was really hoping for more shrinkage.   Then the weight issue.. I knew I would get a stern talking to..  I lost another 8 pounds..  I am now down over 50 pounds post surgery... still in reality my weight is good.. but the fact that I keep losing weight is not good.  Sorry to those that would like to lose weight...   I am eating a LOT of food.. so it is not staying with me...  I was advised to step up the Immodium and to add more fiber to my diet.  I like the fiber idea more.. but will do both initially.  And I think I will have a big steak... add some more fat to the diet... just a little bit more...  next week, Pizza and beer..!!

I can not tell you how much I appreciate you all... and of course the staff at Stanford.. they treat me like a King..!!

Hang in there everyone..!!  We are a team.. and we all fight together...

    Ron, about the weight loss..

Ron, about the weight loss.. my mom keeps losing as well. But when you have constant runs it doesn't let you gain weight.  She is taking Glucerna now and her weight is pretty stable. She doesn't eat much because she is always full. She tends to have concurrent UTI's. Has anyone else had this issue? I was going to ask if you can try "Boost", it will give you extra calories. Others make a big shake out of it and add lots of calories to it.  Any little bit will help.

On the scan before last mom had a small growth of 2mm on her node, which they say was insignificant. This scan it was stable and was the size of the previous scan. The doc said that nodes get bigger in size if you are fighting a cold, which she did have.  It is kind of hard to tell with nodes. But your scan was pretty good and the doctor was happy, and so am I.

    Weight

    Ron:

is the 50 pounds your total weight loss since nephrectomy and how has it been between scans?

does your doctor have any other thoughts than diarrhea?

If the doc is not concerned and this is someone you really trust at one of the best places treating renal cancer, maybe it is simply adjustment to age, treatment and nephrectomy.

one would think that losing 50 pounds is sufficient for alarm BUT your doc's lack of concern is worth considering.

SAarah.. guess it needs to be

SAarah.. guess it needs to be in context..  This is over 2 plus years now.  I lost a lot of it in the hospital.. I had a very large tumor plus the Kidney...  I lost another 20 plus pounds since.. some due to the added exercize, some due to mostly Votrient, and now Inlyta.  Yes my doctor is concerned, but I am still above my "fighting" weight.  The main issue we think is the diarrhea, and I am on a modified regimen to help with that.. so far so good..    At this point I am not worried... I am somewhat active and feel pretty darn good lately..!

    Thanks..

just read some posts on smart

just read some posts on smart patient about Inylta and some have experienced weight loss.

that may be why your doc isn't too concerned.

Your weight loss seems to have some benign possibilities.
