Headache

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of a headache I've had for over a month now?  It's not bad, and not constant, but keeps nudging me every. single. day. and. night.  I've taken Tramadol every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day and the danged thing won't go away.  I have several spots that are sore to touch now on my skull.  It's getting really crappy to deal with on a daily basis.  I know this is a "first world problem" but it's causing my balance to be off now, due to the constant dull pain.  I don't want to take hydrocodone or oxycodone or ibuprofen.  Tylenol isn't an option either.  Any other suggestions?  I have an appointment with a Neurologist on the 30th because of tremors in my hands and legs and numbness in my legs and feet.  I can deal with the tremors, but this headache is getting on my very last nerve!

    You guys are funny!  I

You guys are funny!  I finally went downstairs and ate something for the first time today.  I've been drinking water all day.  This is just a stupid pissanty headache that won't seem to take the hint to go away.  I've been in a dark room all day today.  I'm hoping it'll go away soon.  My eyes are starting to look funny....one squinty and the other one like wide open BIG.  My blood pressure is ok...neck hurts, skulls hurts, shoulder blades hurt.  I'm a pity party mess today.  Okay, I'm going back under the covers...no sex for me tonight, for sure...nor for my husband, if he knows what's good for him. LOL

    Head pain

If it's affecting your balance and your eyes, you should see a doctor sooner than later. Something doesn't seem right.

    eye doc

    Hey Tillie,

Sorry your'e having a nagging headache.  When is the last time you had a dilated eye exam?  Or ocular photos?  If the answer is more than a year, I would certainly suggest that you get one.  As an Ophthalmic Tech for more than 15 years, I can tell you, any of the doctors I worked for would offer the same recommendation to anyone presenting with your complaints.  A thourough examination of your retina's, either by dilation or photos (my recommendation) often results in tell tell signs of something going on neurologically.  I would venture to guess your Neuro may even ask you if you've had a recent eye exam.

At any rate, I do hope your headaches ease up.  They aren't fun once in a blue moon like I get them, I can't imagine dealing with one for a month!

And Ron, glad to know you and Rosie Palm are besties Wink

Sorry for all you are going

Sorry for all you are going  through. But I would have some MD take a look at your eyes, esp if one is more dilated and heachaches continue. I would also be careful with opiates AND head/dizziness issues.

So see if your own primary or Urgent care doc could take a look. It could be migraine/blood pressure, lots of treatable things.

Let us know how you are doing. Good luck!
