I am so touched you guys

I am so touched you guys wrote. We are kinda freezing here in Jerusalem buried under ice and snow and broken trees and branches. Sporadic electricity and creative cooking. Schools closed and public and private transport at a standstill. Never this much snow in over 100 years!

i have been lurking because mainly I didn't want to be a downer for the newbies. Needed a stent as kidney started backing up because of tumor pushing on uterer. Was loathe to do it because feared uti-s which of course I got!

Then had 18/18 radiation treatments, my fifth a rad go round, to zap the tumor pressing on uterer. If very lucky they won't have to replace it, but more likely it has to be replaced every three to four months. Yuk. A sense of walking around with a tampon!

There is another tumor in general vicinity which they felt was small and we'll wait till next PET SCAN as that is only thing that shows what is going on. My bloods and Ca 125 are great even as I make tumors. Luckily not in vital organs but along lymphatic system.

I chose not to do more chemo as it was killing my immune system and me, and I made tumors on chemo too! I just agree to Rad and surgery to 'cherry pick' as my doc says.

Thank Gd I am working four hours or so a day, keeps me sane.

Thanks again for wondering about me I do pray for you all and wish you a wonderful and healthy holiday season and New Year.

Thanks so much for looking out for me.

Wrote a whole Megillah. Got eaten. We are hurried under mounds of snow and ice, no public or private transportation in Jerusalemim doing relatively ok ,just finished 18/18 rad treatments for tumor pressing on my uterer causing kidney backup, after I had stent!

    and the beat goes on.

    thanks again SaraSara

Good to hear from you, Sara

Sounds like you are managing the beast.  I just saw pictures of Jerusalem  on our evening news.  What an experience.  We just had 6 inches of powder here in the North Country of New York State  but that's piddling for us.

    Take care.

    Sara

Glad to hear from you.  You don't need to worry about being a downer for newbies.  We want to support you with whatever you are going through?  We care about you.

Sorry you had to get the stent.  I hope the radiation is shrinking the tumor.  Sorry to hear there is another small tumor.  Hope the PET scan gives you positive results.  I read on another site "inspire" for ovarian cancer, that someone had a stent like. "Slinky" that did not have to be replaced every three months.  Do not know if anything like that is available for you.

i, too saw on the news about the snow in Jeresalem.  I did not realize you got snow there.  Hope you did not lose your electricity.  Keep warm and keep in touch.  In peace and caring.

Checked out various stents but here they just had 'double j'. I pushed hard to get urologist to do it in hospital under general anesthesia Docs tried hard to dissuade me, but I insisted as I felt that it could be harder to insert it without me moving at all when I would be under local,as point of 'entry' was a well traveled road, two cancer surgeries and four c sections! Anyway I convinced the surgeon and in the end, after the general he said I was correct in pushing for General as it took longer than anticipated and he had to 'tailor it' which wouldn't have been possible under Local.  I was really blown away by the fact that the Doc, a Surgeon for that matter, agreed with my 'pushiness'.

So Warriorettes, stick to your guns and use your own intuition and you may be batting 1000!
