Dear Friends,

I'm back amongst the living again. Or shall we say amongst the awakened.

Yesterday the sungery lasted between 11 am to 9pm. Everything went really well, I barelly had any nausea and the pain is minimal. I sleep a lot, but they always wake you for something. Everybody is so kind an professional. This afternoon I'm planning a little walk.

Im taking cimetidine and L-Arginin which are supported to prevent metastasis post-surgery and antibiotic as well. I'm also drinking Yerba Mate tea which is also good for colon cancer.

Decided to do a chemo sensitivity test here in Long Beach, Ca so we gave them 1cm fresh tissue sample so they can tell which chemo is the most effective and the ideal dose. It is $4000, the insurance may cover it and they allowed 10 payments.

So, so far everything is going so well and I want to thank all of you for the outpouring support and love. Also sending ton of love to those that are down.

Will update you soon,

Laz

    Up and walking

Even if its just a few steps around the bed, thats GREAT news.

So happy to get an update so soon after your very long surgery. I heard yesterday that a long surgery is a good surgery.

Keep up the good work but don't overdo it.

    Wonderful

So glad to see your post and I'm so happy that you are doing well enough to post - it surprised me.  Hope that your first walk is good and it will be your walk to recovery.  Sounds like it was an awfully long surgery - 10 hours.  Just glad that have given us an update and wish you the best going forward.  I'm glad that you got this behind you.  Speedy recovery buddy.

    I hope everyone is well.

Yesterday was a pretty ueventful day. Got up a couple of times to walk and ate some solids the first time. The pain is managable, but I'm very weak. To night they take out my catheter, but I will still have some drains in me. Hoping to leave the hospital on Monday and continue with wound and Stoma care in my home town.

Thanks for all the wonderful wishes, they really uplifted my spirit.

    I'm recovering really well.

Of course I still have some discomfort and need to adjust to my stoma. Had a visit with the docs where they let me know that all the cancer was gone, which is great News. The trip to Los Angeles shook me up a little since I still have hard time sitting. Ill have some time before November 3rd when ill resume 5 more rounds of Folfox treatment.

I hope all of you are well or at least acceptable, because we have a lot of friends here having a hard time. So let's pray for those.
