My mother just turned 65, but was very active. 3 mile walks, and weight training 3 times a week.
She discovered her Lipo Sarcoma in her left calf. She had surgery in January 2003, followed by radiation.
The standard 3 month CT scan found new problems in her hip, a small egg sized bump, and invasion into her lungs.
She has done one round of chemo and into the first treatment of a different drug, due to the first allowing growth and spreading into her Liver.
She is getting feverish every night, but the DR. says her blood work is within normal #'s.
The lump in her hip/upper leg is now red and changed from egg sized to a baseball sized hard painful red mass. Antibiotics have been prescribed, but how much longer do I have to wait for a positive change.
We have a cruise to look forward to in July. I want her to have fun.

Your mother's struggle sounds very rough. I am so sorry it has been so hard for her. I will keep her in my prayers. With the grace of God, she will make it through this and find many blessings along the way. God Bless and keep her, and you, her family, too. Having a strong support team is vital. My best wishes to you in this struffle.

    Lipo Sarcoma - leg

I really feel for you . Have been there and done that .

I had lipo sarcoma in 2008 and 35 treatments of radiation .

I went to Curves for a year and a half .

I have been doing very well and just went for my 5 year cancer free tests .

I came home from Flea Marketing and the back of my left calf was aching and swollen .

I stretched out on the recliner and when my leg touched it I said Oh my God no !!!

I have another lump in my calf of the left leg where I had cancer in 08 .

I had MRI and there's a mass growing so I'm going back to Wake Forest University NC the 8th of Oct.

They want to do a biopsy as soon as possible .

I still trusting fully in God to take care of this to.
