Hi,  I was diagnosed with triple negative stage 2B grade 3 breast cancer 15 days ago.  They are still waiting on the BRCA test results, but since it is aggressive and already moved into my lymph nodes, they are starting me on chemo tomorrow. in 8 weeks, i will have surgery.  By then I will decide to go with Lumpectomy or mastectomy. i am trying to stay strong, but really scared.  I also have Multiple Sclerosis and so worried about having a flare up because of emotional and physical stress.  Does anyone have both?

    Hi from another TNBC survivor

    Hi Allie,

Welcome to the board even though I'm sorry for the reason you're here. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Stage 2A, Grade 3 three years ago. Mine was fast moving too. I had surgery before chemo and it took 3 surgeries before they got it all out. Mine had gone into an intra mamory lymph node

I took Adriamycin/Doxorubicin first then Taxol for my chemo. It was hard but I got through it. I was able to work except on chemo days. I got so much support and advice from everyone on this board. I found that drinking A LOT of water before and during chemo helped flush it out. I always had a drink full of ice while it was administered. I heard it helped prevent mouth sores. I used Biotene toothpase. I got a lot of rest and I even accepted help from people. That was the hardest thing! I got a lot of tips on what and how to eat while on chemo - I even resorted to Ensure a couple of times.

Please check back and let us know how you're doing. I'll be thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way!!

    JoAnn
