Ewing's Sarcoma - Sacrum

Hi,

I am a 26 year old cancer survivor of 12 years. I was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma of the sacrum in 2001. I had surgery to remove the tumor, chemotherapy for one year, and radiation for 3 months. I have been in remission ever since.

If anyone would like support or needs help dealing with this kind of cancer diagnosis, please feel free to e-mail me. I would love to help anyone dealing with this, especially young adults. I was fourteen when I was diagnosed. My e-mail is cferna2@law.stetson.edu

If anyone has any questions, please feel free. Ask away Smile

First of all, I am really happy that you are alright and using you painful experience to support others Smile . I have signed up on this website even if I had never had cancer, however we have meet. My cousin died 5 years ago after 3 years of battling with  brain cancer, this was my first encounter with death, it was horrible as you can imagine. When he fell sick I was twelve and therfor even if I saw him and spend some nice times, I regret that I was not able to do more for him. That I didn't get enough involved and support him more. I'm am writing to you because my best friend whom I consider like the sister I never had as been diagnosed with ewing sarcoma about a month ago. I was wondering what kind of advice you could give as far as what to do to help her the most during this terrible time. I hope you could give me some kind of insight, since even thow I am a very understanding person, since i have never had cancer, obviously I have no idea what you have gone threw and what she is going threw. I know this is a difficult and not very specific question, but I thought it would be could to get some advice from someone who as lived and survived cancer. Hoping, to hear from you soon and sending much love. Margaux
