matastis to bone?

My husband was treated 2 years ago for base of tongue cancer. Follow up PET showed matastisized to both lungs. CT in July 2013 showed the largest node in the left lung has grown. My question concerns matastic to bones. He has had pain and weakness upon standing. Could this mean the cancer has spread to the bones?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Debbie

    Hi Jim and I.

So sorry that he is going through this.  I experienced a lot of joint pain and weakness prior to diagnosis and treatment.  I did not have any sign of cancer in my bones.  Post treatment it disappeared but, yes, it is one symptom.  Many people who have lc have no pain in bones and joints.  This is one of those things that will require a visit to the doctor.  Please let us know what happens.
