Scans

Had my first scans earlier this month since being on Votrient. 30% Shrinkage with no new growths. Now if I can just find food that tastes good. Losing weight because I am not eating nothing tastes right.

    Hooray for you!

Congratulations on the scan results!  I have been on Torisel. I won't have my first scan until Sept 9th. Hoping I will post good results as you have been able to.

    Here's to continued shrinkage!

    Cook book...

    Hi Ed,

    This is from a post by angec who's mom is in treatment;

There's also a cook book for people in treatment, with great recipes which address specific side effects and gives options for how to flavor the food to appeal to the altered taste.  It's called "Cancer Fighting Kitchen Cookbook."

    I hope it helps.

    Sending you only good vibes

Good luck on your scan as well. Looks like we both started this journey around the same time? I was diagnosed the end of March.

Hope you get nothing but good news from your first scan, keep us informed and I will as well.

    First scans

Are in the books for me..

Surgery was May 13, first scan was 2 weeks ago tomorrow.  There had been hope of a clinical trial, but alas, the lack of similar grading, re chromophobe RCC kept me out. 7cm needed to be 7.1.

    just wasn't meant to be.

But the scans were clear, NED FOR ME!!!

    I will take it!

    Congrats

Glad to hear Great news on the scans!

    Gotta love that shrinkage!

Not that it tastes great, but have you tried Ensure?

I went thru some mouth sores recently and the nurse suggested it to keep the nutrients up.
