We watched Carol Burnett every week...

she was so funny!  I also thought Monty Python was great when I was a kid.  I remember one time being really down after being dumped by my boyfriend (huge loser-thank goodness he broke up with me, but I couldn't see it at the time).  I turned on the TV and there was the Monty Python show...specifically a bit called the Twit Race.

I laughed so hard, I forgot all about how sad I was.

And for those of you who haven't seen it, here it is:

Totally stupid, yet hysterical at the same time (imo).

Hugs and love to you, dear Wolfen.

    And don't forget Fawlty Towers....

    *grin*....

    Hoo boy...Legolas!

VERY cute, although way too young for me, of course.  Although I guess maybe not in elf form, being all immortal and what-not.  Loved the LOTR movies, thought The Hobbit was only so-so.  Will still go see the next one when it comes out, though...haven't seen the trailer, and the idea of an elf more in my age range is definitely intriguing!

Have you seen the Harry Potter movies?  Guy who plays Lucius Malfoy is another English babe.  You Ukers produce some seriously hot guys!

    Younger

I see that the actor who plays Legolas' father (Lee Pace), is actually two years younger than Orlando Bloom.

Still, Elves are ageless, and he does look older when all set up I'm his Elven robes.

I didn't like the first Harry Potter  book, so I have not sat and watched the movies. My husband and boys lover them, so I havbe seen the Malfoy man in passing.  Maybe it's the long blonde hair.

    Another funny movie.

Another funny movie.  Neighbors, with John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd.  It never did get good reviews but my husband and I watched it many times, always made me laugh.  It is a black comedy and has some great parts.

    The Germans episode...

where Basil gets a head injury and starts goose-stepping all around the dining room...in front of his horrified German guests...is possibly the funniest thing ever.

    Overboard

If you have never seen "Overboard" you are truly missing out.  This is with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.  It is so a pick me up movie because it shows the good and not so good of people but in a great story line.  I've probably watched this 25 times and never get tired of it.  Another movie I love if I'm down and this is a downer movie but a great ending is "Fireproof" and "Chronicles of Narnia."  These all are feel good movies and well worth the watch.
