If y'all kick me off of here, I'll understand..

How sick are y'all of my rollercoaster of treatments?  I know I am.  So, the oncologist that I like (but never get to see) consulted with my oncologist (the older one) and my surgeon.  He is concerned about my symptoms and is reevaluating if I should finish.  He thinks my body is reacting to the radiation in an almost allergic way.  They are going to see me tomorrow afternoon and go over some things, but based on the % my surgeon gave them and HIS concern as well, I may actually be finished.  This has been such a weird thing.  So now, I'm in limbo for a day or so.  I'm pushing meds today and really trying all they've suggested to get better.  I'll keep you all posted if you don't kick me off of here :)

    Kickin Ya...

We won't kick you to the curb, LOL....

You gotta do what you gotta do... But you do have to make it through treatment before you can be a survivor, LOL... Meaning if your body can't take anymore, then that's your first priority.

    not kicking

    TracyLynn,

Not sick of you at all.  This is par for the cancer course. Hey, have you seen the big “dust-up” about PEGS, Wow!

How quickly one’s body adjusts to treatments is key to survival.  As stated, you are having trouble calming this puppy.  Your team will push you to the edge of reason, everyone reading your story knows what is at stake and we all want the best for you.  I am still a firm believer in finding something to give you relief so that you can continue, but if not, so be it.  No matter what the treatment is for any of us we all must stay vigilant and for you it will be the same.

Anyway, I vote that you stay, you really need to see Skiffin on a good day.

    Matt

    Won't kick you off

So sorry to hear all of the trouble you are having.  All I know is that we were told up front going into treatment that head and neck radiation was the worse and that many people didn't finish it.  And seeing what my husband has gone thru and is still going thru, I told my husband that there was no way I could go thru what he has gone thru.

Wishing you the best -- Sharon

    You silly girl !

Like it or not you've become a part of our family here !  Not everyone's bodies can bear the tx's thrown out at us.  Does this make us less of a fighter or survivor ?  No way !  I believe you are a strong determined lady that will with your experienced onc's make the best choices that fit your life period !   I am sending you only positives, and remember we are ALWAYS here for you !  Katie

Get tough girl it's your life

Ill repeat what my rad doctor told me that turned thingd around in my mind . You can only fight the side effects if your alive. Dont finish the treatment and you won't have to worry about them.
