    Congratulations, Rachel. That

Congratulations, Rachel. That is an accomplishment, and must be a good feeling. Remember that God doesn't always give us what we want, but He will give us what we need.

    Cadhoarse,
    its funny that you

    Cadhoarse,

its funny that you say that, through this ordeal, i kept thinking really God after cancer in 2000, infertity after cancer(do have beautiful 9yr daughter Faith since then), divorce, a few other side effecfs and issues THIS TOO! It was then that i got the meaning of "God never gives mire than we can handle" if you believe in Him he will alwAys be there to carry you through. Each test you must continue to go to God and ask for His grace and you will recieve it!

Thanks for sharing that message again! Good luck in your ordeal, here if you need me!

    Outstanding News

"R", great news. Hey fishmanpa uses "T" and Phrannie uses "P". I figure you might as well use "R" Laughing

Just a little suggestion on your scrambled eggs. I use sugar-free Log Cabin syrup over the eggs to help get them down. They slide right down for me....after a bit of chewing....and a sip of coffee...

My Best to You and Everyone Here

    I'm so happy to

hear your great news ! Congratulations on climbing that hill ! I thought the whole time that you would do it ! Sorry that I am late on your post  but I just got home from MDA - Houston yesterday . I will start a post about that in a little while. I ate a little Cheese Cake a few days ago at the Cheese Cake Factory, It had a little Whipped Cream on it and that seemed to help it go down, so you might try that on your Birthday Cake ! Just wondering you don't have any taste issues do you ?

    Peggy,
    i did of course 12

    Peggy,

i did of course 12 years ago, everything was foul.  There are things i ate before cancer that i never really ate again, fruit was one.  I couldnt take acidic fruit strawberry, plums(to sweet and tangy), grapes, oranges or juice.  I gained raw brocolli onions and few other things.  But now as far as i can withvwhat little i can eat, im okay, although i find not really enjoying chocolate pudding which i loved and chocolate ice cream?  So who knows?  I have no salvia and havent since 2000, what i have is that thick stuff just got used to it.  You ok? Why the question?

Marine5 tried the eggs in maple syrup and helped amazingly thanks!

I'm ok just my new normal

but thanks for asking . I was just asking about your taste , hoping that the smoothies would at least taste good to you ! I still am on mostly liquids and still dry mouth and getting some taste back.  I used to LOVE Chocolate (anything !) and I ate Ice Cream every night 365 days a year ! I miss it so much and sure am hoping my sweet tooth will come back ! Sweets were my favorite food !! Might be a blessing if it doesn't so that maybe I wont gain my weight back.

    Peggy,
    LOL on gaining weight

    Peggy,

LOL on gaining weight back, i worry about that adding soft foods to Ensure.  But if i eat something substanial( which isnt often) i take a can off.

    Rachel

ps drink a few Ensures and thry are milk chocolate and i think pretty good considering.  Thank God considering that is main food.  Ensure Plus milk chocolate give it a try and get a sweet fix!

    Ensure

I still drink Ensure but I don't like it . While we were in Houston that's pretty much all that I drink/ate. I get the milk chocolate. I think that's why I am always craving salty ! About the only thing that I can eat that's salty is homemade Potato soup.
