Hi All,

I am new to the board have been lurking but never posted before.  I was diagnosed in December of 2011 with colon cancer stage 1 but then found out it had spread to lung and liver so went to stage IV.   I have had 5 surgeries and 13 chemo treatments in the last 15 months.  My last surgery was Feb 4th of this year on both lungs to remove tumors, 10 in the left and 4 in the right.  Just had a CT scan last week and had hoped that things were clean for awhile.  I found out today there is something suspicious in my right lung and on my liver.  I am so disappointed...have to have a PET scan on Monday and will see the Dr. again next Wednesday.  Our plan may be more chemo at this time.  The surgery on my lungs was a tough surgery and I don't think I am ready for more at this time.  I read your stories and messages everyday and they give me hope.  Thanks for reading my message.

Terri

    Welcome

Welcome to the board but sorry that you didn't get better news.  Have you ever thought about getting a second opinion for your treatments.  Wishing you the best.

Welcome to a great support group

But you probably already know that from your former lurker status - I was a lurker for 2 years before my first post.  I'm sorry you're dealing with some bad news.  I second the opinion about a second opinion :) Maybe there are some other options for you.  Good luck with your decision and treatment.
