Well, like it or not, I cut my hair super short.  Chemo is tomorrow and I couldn't stand the idea of big clumps falling out.  I would much prefer little clumps...Lol Wink.

    Sassy!

It is cute and sassy, sort of like you!  Maybe you should consider when your hair grows back to get this cut.  It suits you.

    Best,

    Smart Move

Last year at this time I was where you were.  I have not worn my hair very long for most of my life -- a little longer than what you are showing in your picture here.

When I knew for sure my hair was beginning to fall out, I had a friend of mine come over and give me a buzz cut.  I thought that mentally it would be easier to deal with bristles disappearing rather than seeing clumps of hair.  My hair had barely begun to fall out and I was already tired of finding shed hair on my clothing, in my comb, on the back of upholstered furniture.  Also, my husband and I were heading out of town that weekend for a brief family reunion to celebrate my parents' 60th anniversary.  It just seemed to make more sense to keep my hair messes to a minimum.

I did find a terry-cloth turban handy to wear to bed while I was in the shedding stage, even when I was down to bristles.

You are right -- there will be times when you have to play mind games with yourself.

Hope chemo goes as smoothly as possible for you.

    Sassy AND in control!

Clementine's right, CC -- you look sassy and beautiful with your short haircut.

But more importantly -- you look like a woman who's taken some control of her situation.  All of us who've had chemo know how much better we've felt when we've taken some steps to lose our hair on OUR terms, not on cancer's terms.

You look beautiful, and empowered, and ready for a fight!  Look out, cancer, you don't stand a chance!

    Cynthia,

you look great in long or short hair! I love it. I made that mistake and quickly realized it was best to cut it short.

Prayers and positive thoughts surround you!

    You Look Lovely....

Haircut is lovely.  I wish I had cut my short.  I did have short hair but there was to much of it (thick) too.  I was in denial and figured it was just goine to thin out.  Oh was I wrong and what a mess for 2 1/2 weeks.  I was lucky to find a hairnet with the 1994 wig to contain my hair as it fell.

Good luck (a little late) on your treatment today.   I had mine yesterday and the hematocrit had just rising enough to allow my treatment.

    Sending positive vibes,

    Doris
