Day #3 post-chemo de-virginization

Hi all,

Just wanted to post that it is day #3 after my first chemo and I still feel great, actually better than before. Due to the prednisone, I have more energy that I did pre-chemo. It might in fact be the placebo effect that I have squeaked through the first days without my head being stuck in the commode or sink, but I will take it and run with it (no scissors in hand of course, safety first).

Since, I am feeling so well....I will send all of my healing strength out to those in need- thinking of you all daily

XXXOOO

    Day 4

    Hi Carie,

So this would be 1st chemo, day 4? I hope you are still feeling good. One more day of the prednisone? I am very happy for you that it is all going so well and I hope it continues. When will you have lab work done, to check your blood levels?

Stay happy and positive and stay you,

    Day 4

    Rocquie,

This is my last day of prednisone, for this round anyway...lol....I have labs done tomorrow morning before I go to work, hopefully everything is fine. I actually feel great so far...other than this darn jaw soreness I just started getting, but I can't complain about something so little. I have been blessed!!!!

    Thanks for thinking of me,

    Carie

    Great!

    Hi Carie,

You sound great! I can't imagine working while on chemo, but I'm so happy you are up to it. Last day of Prednisone..."YEAH"!!!! Now be ready for the pred "come down" tomorrow and the rest of the week. Prednisone keeps our organs from swelling during chemo and gives us energy, but when we stop it all at once our bodies take a sudden hit, and if you react like I did, you will feel pretty droopy and sore for awhile. Your jaw pain may be from the pred, but ask your doctor tomorrow...he will probably know better. Take care sweetie and pay attention to your body...if it says sleep...then sleep! Much love...Sue
