Hello Everyone,

How is everyone doing, I have not been here a while and thought I would say hello.  I have not done my cat scan as of yet.  I am to do another cat scan in April.

So will see then. Was in the Hospital again for Diverticulitis attack for 3 days.

I am also wondering how Donald 51 is, I have not heard and am wondering.

I can not believe the time is just flying by. I just am wondering how everyone is doing?

Best wishes to all of you, Hilde

    Hi Hilde

Hey sweet lady.  It's so nice to hear from you!  I'm doing pretty well here - hanging in there. Sorry to hear about your episode with diverticulitis.  Hope you're feeling better and good luck on your upcoming scan.  I haven't seen any posts from Donald 51 either - hope he's doing well.

    Hugs and keep us updated,

    Hi back at you!

    Hi Hilde,

Sorry about your 3 day stay at the hospital. Hope all is better now. I'm waiting to get my scan after finishing my 2 years of Rituxan. Should be getting it done the first two weeks in April. I'm praying it did what it was suppose to do and I'll finally be considered in remission and done with treatment for a long, long time! Smile I'm feeling good, so I assume that's a good sign! I am a great grandma now, so I've been busy with him. 6lbs 6 oz's of sweet baby boy to hold and love on! I've got no time for cancer!..ha! Thanks for checking in Hilde...it's always good to hear how our friends are doing! Let us know the results of your scan, and I'll do the same. Much love...Sue

    Hello Jim

So happy to hear from you Jim. Glad you are doing well. With so many other problems it makes you wonder. I wonder if we

ever get over that type of thinking. Do you do that?

Thankyou for the well wishes and of course I wish you well also.  I suppose I wonder about anyone relapsing at all after receiving Zevalin in 09. So I have been home free since then.

I wish you the best Jim and it sure was good to hear your cheerful note. Hugs back Jim,  Hilde

    Hello Sue

    Hi Sue,

So glad that you are doing well and I wish you a good outcome on your scan. Congrats on the new baby.

We sure do not have time for this cancer.  I had the Zevalin and never did do maintenance with the Rituxin. I suppose it was because I had Zevalin.

Glad to hear back from you. I will check in more often. I wish you the best, Love, Hilde

    Zevalin

Hi Hilde.  We haven't met but if you're willing I have some questions about your treatment.  When did you get your Zevalin?  Was it for a relapse or initial diagnosis?  I had mine last October for a relapse of follicular NHL.  I had a scan this morning.  I'm a little embarrassed to admit I'm not even sure what to expect when I go for the results next week.  The Radiologist originally said he'd do a scan in Feb at which time it would be normal for the nodes to be larger and then one in April where we'd hope to see some shrinkage.  Then my regular Oncologist changed it to a scan in March.  I don't know if this is just a restaging scan like the original Feb one was going to be in which case next weeks results aren't anything to wonder about or if he felt moving it back a month might make it so we only do one scan after which they will be able to tell me if it is working or not.  Anything you can share would be appreciated.  Take care.  Mac

    Hello Mac

My Zeavlin treatment was for a relapse of Follicular NHL in 09, I started with this in 04 and had surgery and 22 radiation treatments.

Then I went almost 5 years and it came back with a vengence. Stage 4 with bone marrow involvement So that was in 09, had surgery to take some nodules out on my salivary gland.

Then did 8 rounds of chemo and then did Zevalin in December of 09. So have been in remission since then.

Have to get a repeat of my scan April 3, they seen something in January scan. But we will see. Hope this helps some. good luck. You will be fine.Hilde

    Thanks

Hilde you are a seasoned vertran of the battle against the evel C.  I'll be praying for good news in your next scan.  Mine from last week was good.....or at least I think it was.  In my relapse I only had two nodes that were enlarged.  One in my left groin which was the largest and one in my right groin.  At the appointment to hear about the CAT scan the doctor was excited to tell me that the 2.8 CM node on my left had shrunk down to 1.6 CM showing the Zevilan was working.  When I reminded him that this was the lymphnode they removed for my biopsy he actually turned red with embarrassment and said the radiologist must have measured the scar tissue there.  On the good news front the report did say 'no other enlarged nodes over 1 CM found' which I'm taking to mean that the 1.7 CM node on my right side had actually shrunk down but they are redoing the report and I'll hear from them again next week.  Thanks for sharing.  We started in the same year with the same type.  I'll say some prayers that you live to over 100 and outlive me by a year or two.  Thanks again for the info.

    Hello Hilde,

Sorry to hear about your bout with Diverticulitis and hope that you are doing much better now. I am glad to see that you are still here and still in remission from your zevalin treatment. I also appreciate your concern for me. I am doing fine, as I was just in for a ct scan and still NED (no evidence of disease). I completed my maintenance therapy of rituxan after five years in February. What a long five years it has been. Since I was given the zevelin in June 2008 as my first defense treatment and pronounced NED in August 2008, I had always wished that I didn't have to get the rituxan maintenance treatments. Anyway, it is water under the bridge now.

I will continue to strive for a full and healthy life and pray that everyone on this board, veterans and newbies, can and will do the same. Mind over matter folks! Keep a positive outlook and be strong in heart and faith.

    Hello Donald and Everyone,

I have had the worst problem getting on this site.  My next scan is in December. I am getting ready to make a dr. appointment. I seem to have

problems with bronchial stuff. At first they thought it was the reflux but it bothers me when I breath. And my throat bothers me. I keep thinking it will go away. But it is not .

I do take meds for reflux so it should not be that. It is worrying me. I am just wondering which dr to go to. My oncologist or my reg. dr. I dont know. Any advice would be so appreciated.

I worry because I had 22 radiation treatment to my left cheek and neck in 04. Hope you all are doing well and it was so good to hear from you Donald and am so happy you are doing so good. Keep up the good work.

Much love to everyone here and best wishes,

    Hilde

    Hey Hilde!

It's so great to hear from you!  I'm sorry you are having bronchial problems and hope they find out what is going on.  I'm getting a CT scan today and passing time waiting for them to call my name.

I'm sure you'll hear from others soon - there have been problems with the site again recently and it's been hard to get on.

    Big hugs,

    Jim
