Ally I am sorry for your

Ally I am sorry for your diagnosis.  I wish that I could be helpful in information regarding local support in Las Vegas but I am in Northern Virginia and not real learned on how to access public health help.  I am sure that there are local agencies designed to help people with needs while undergoing cancer treatment.  I have been through chemo and radiation and while not so fun it is manageable and your stage is very treatable.  Let me know if you have any other questions that I can help you with.  Talk to your doctor about meds to help you relax and calm the mood swings.  They are completly normal.  Hugs to you.

    Question Please Anyone

Thanks for your kind words. I really feel like my doctors are not clear on what is going on and since my insurance medicaid only has two doctors in all of las vegas to except my plan. It makes it difficult for two very differnt opinnions. one wanted radical hysto, and another said lmph node removel chemo rad. so I went with lymp node removal but for some reason doctors are docotrs sympathetic but not experiencing it physically so it is easy for them to say what to do as it is not happening to them. I thought joining a support group would help but have only found for breast cancer and when I tried to seek support I got mix emotions because I am not a breast cancer survivor so they said I can come but probably would not relate. So I said nevermind for some reason finding a cervical cancer group is very hard. I just want to talk to someone who has been through what I have so they can tell me in thier own way what they have experienced and put my mind at ease.

On a side not to calm my nervse I have been offered nothing but antidepression and lower tabs. I have a one year old baby and  a 6yr and 8 yr, i raise and a man who is not emotionally supportive because as he puts it bills has to be paid. I have been scared to feel like a burden when I have no one to turn to for help no family just kids and a man who can't stop getting money long enough to help me go through the treatment,. It has put an extreme strain on my relationship and find myself angry and bitter and helpless in need of a friend or group of people who can relate. I am about to do this alone i cant keep waiting to figurew it out until it gets worse or I die... I am strong enough I just dont no if the doctors require someone to be there for my chemo and radiation or can I drive my self ? any no this who has had chemo and radiation

    Probably your treatment will

Probably your treatment will be weekly cisplatin with daily radiation.  It is not really recommended to drive yourself to chemo because of the drugs they sometimes use that can make you drowsy, but I think there is very little if any of those kids of drugs with the cisplatin.  You may be able to drive yourself.  The radiation you can drive yourself to.  I drove myself to all my radiation appointments except for my chemo day.

I am sorry that you are not getting more support at home.  Hopefully your man will come around and see how much you need him there to take care of you and the kids.  If you can not find a cervical cancer support group in your area, perhaps a general gyn support group.  That would comprise cervical, uterine and ovarian cancers.  A lot of the treatments are the same as well as the side effects and issues for "lady parts".

Big hugs and hopes for easy treatment and speedy recovery.
