Lipo-Flavonoid® Plus ?

Has anyone who has ringing in the ears from Cisplatin tried Lipo-Flavonoid® Plus? I heard it can help stop it.

I've got the ringing in the ears....

but have never looked for anything that might stop it.  My ears have been ringing since a month before I was Dx'd....I'm interested too.....so I hope someone has tried it!

    Hi P

Someone I know said her sister in law used it and it worked. I ordered it and have Jeff try it. I found it online. It's baseically a vitamin suppliment. The annoying part as usually is you take 6 tabs per day for 60 days. It was suppositly developed by an ear specialist.

    No experience, but...

I wish it worked. I don’t want to comment on that, because I haven’t tried it. Instead take a look at the comments on amazon.com (where it has been reviewed 192 times, with 3 star average). I liked this comment:

Lipoflavonoid is nothing more than lemon peel. That is the main ingredient in this NON-FDA approved supplement. The makers throw in a bit of vitamins C, niacin and B6, B12 and some calcium. They claim it helps ear noise by increasing blood flow to the inner ear but this has never been proven in double-blind trials. Basically, it is an overpriced multi-vitamin.
Hey, it may work for some but it was a waste of money for me.
The makers say you have to use it a MINIMUM of 6 months to see ANY results!!! Now, at 25 bucks a bottle they are going to get a few hundred dollars out of you before you realize it ain't working.
Oh, and the fun part: they say to take DOUBLE the dose if you want "quicker" relief. Well, who wants to suffer longer than they have to? So if you take that double dose, you are swallowing 6 pills a day.
Honey, that adds up and fast. Money, hope and relief down the drain. They have "guarantee" on the box and bottle but they don't say what they are promising....maybe high profits for themselves?
    AVOID!!!!
