Ok...I am have 10 treatments under my belt and 8 more to go. Today I am feeling sick to my stomach, no appitite, and extremely tired. Please tell me this is just a bad day and I will have some more good days until the end of treatment?  This is terrible.

    Better days are coming...

I promise..I was feeling the exact same way..took a few more days to feel better. Eat light and drink. I took my Zofran and ate candy canes. I know there is a bug going around so stay indoors for awhile if you can...hope you are felling better today, also rest..I keep a bucket by my bed just in case......Val

    You will get through this!

I am so sorry you feel like crap right now but things will get better.  Don't try to fight the fatigue and if water or other liquids make you feel worse, you might try sucking on ice chips or popsicles.  I never actually felt queasy during chemo but when I do feel queasy for other reasons, I keep an opened, empty grocery bag lined at the bottom with newspaper by my side, just in case I don't make it to the bathroom in time.  Hang in there!

    Hugs,

    Kelly

    yeah know the feeling

When I was on chemo(currently on avastin maint) I noticed that when I would get carboplatin I would be real sick to my stomach, so what i would do is when i could eat crackers and ginger candy and tried to drink ginger ale. Get as much rest as you can...Promise you it will get better. Truth be told the worst thing for me wasnt the nausea but actually a feeling of having an urinary tract infection oh my it was bad. I didn't get the fatigue real bad but hang in there you have to beat this.

    As everyone has said...

yes, you will have good days.  When you are feeling sick it is so hard to imagine feeling good again.  I remember how great it felt to come out of the ickiness of chemo.  But when I was smack in the middle of it, I couldn't remember.  I would tell my son, I can't take it anymore and he would say, remember you'll feel better in a few days.  Of course I wanted to smack him but he was right.

Do whatever it takes to make yourself comfortable.

    You are in my thoughts.

    After Chemo

I believe IV fluids for three days are needed..they flush out the rest ot the chemo and keep you hydrated. Also keeps you moving  urinating and bowels. Ask your Dr. About this..it really does help..plus I get two more does of  Zofran through my port....Val

Hang in there.....fight like a girl!!

You will get through it....I am not sure which anti nausea medication you are on, but Compazine worked better for me than Zofran.  Also I went through sugar free peppermint candy like crazy, I kept it in my pockets at all times...it really helped me get through it.

    Feel better.........its almost over!!

    Right before I started chemo

Right before I started chemo I received a basket from cousin and his wife with a wole bunch of stuff in it.  One of the things in there was a box of queasy pops.  They were ginger suckers and worked like a charm.  Almost instant relief.  I had a stomach bug over the weekend and used one and was amazed how fast it worked.   I am not sure where to get them
