Gentlemen, are you tired all the time?

I have been suffering from fatigue for years. I've been taking levothyroxine to combat my low thyroid levels and even that hasn't helped. Sometimes it is all I can do to drag myself up out of the chair to get going. I've been using 5 Hour Energy to get me going at times but I really don't want to rely on that. I was watching live TV one time so I couldn't fast forward through the commercials. I came across the one for Low T. Since fatigue was one of the symptoms, it caught my attention. After reading up on it on the web, I decided to ask my Primary to check my testosterone level in my blood work. Sure enough, it was low. I'll be starting testosterone replacement therapy pretty soon. For those of you who are always tired, it might be the cause and not just radiation aftereffects. They say the older you get, the more it's possible for Low T (one smart remark Skiffin and I swear I'll...). I'll keep those interested informed on how things are progressing.

Oh, and in case anyone is wondering why I chose the colors I did for my compression mask, GO RAVENS!!!

Just a little tidbit about me, Laralyn

My folks are from the deep southern hills of Ohio, Vinton County. My Dad, scoured the hills for ginsing during the Depression, to keep our family fed and warm..at that time he sold it to a Dr in Wellston, that paid him 40.00 a pound....a fortune back then.

    Vinton County...

So you are well familiar with South Point, Symmes Creek, Ironton, Chesapeak...

I spend a few summers there as a kid with my grandparents at the time...

    All In the Spelling?

There is "tea" and there is "T". I guess it's all in how you spell the word. Rick.

LOL - I knew I shouldn't have started this thread

I do sorta take vitamins (here I go again leaving myself open for wise remarks).  I take a tablespoon of Geritol Tonic every day.  That stuff has been around since I was a baby.  I don't know how they stay in business with the stuff.  It smells TERRIBLE.  Thank God for feeding tubes.  It does work though.  My med onc told me my iron level was low and I was bordering on anemia.  Since I have been taking that stuff (which also has vitamins) I haven't had any problem with my iron level.

    Tea for the Tillerman?

    I'm "T" but I don't really drink "tea" ;)

The only fatigue I'm familiar with was the the fatigue I was feeling prior to my 2nd heart attack. I was pulling 18 hour days often as I worked my day job then went off to a gig in the evening, often not returning until 12-1am. There were times the feeling was so strong that it took everythinng I had just to walk up a flight of stairs. I thought it was from working so much and lack of sleep. Little did I know it was a warning sign.

Now, I'm about to start treatment. I have some fatigue which I attribute to "Jack" but it's not too bad. Time will tell how I feel once I start.
