Life Extention membership & $25 credit...and questions

Just came across this link for a free 6 month membership to life extension, that comes with a $25 credit.  I used it to buy 120 5000 IU Vit D3 and 500 1000 IU Vit D3 - for $9 shipped, which seemed to be a good price.

Does anyone know anything about these guys (Tans?) and how their vitamins compare to other brands - like those sold in the grocery stores?

Here's the link if anyone else wants to try it out.  I had to click on it a few times for the right page to come up - will ask for your email address and there is a box saying that you will get a 6 month membership and $25 credit - on the right side of the screen.

    The price you got was

The price you got was certainly good!  I have looked at them before, but did not make a purchase.

I have had three Docs tell me, to look for USA or Canada made.  The quality control in some countries has not been that good.  I use Trader Joes because they have been consitently good, and reasonably priced.

    Best Always,  mike

    my view

Life Extension claims very high quality and special formulas.   I have bought some potent formulas that were convenient to use and necessary when price was less an object.  Occasionally some of their sales will be unbeatable, these I will load up a year's worth, $xxx.  What has been most important were their ND consultants specialized in cancer education, available in 30 minute slots.  I read first and then saved my best questions for this interview.    I do usually find better deals online, for perhaps lower but adequate quality (to me), elsewhere.

Buying vitamins in the store is usually more expensive, and junky if you don't understand the precise chemical version of vitamins or formulas that you are selecting from.  This is true online also, but at least a big online distributor is more likely to actually offer the "best version" molecule, somewhere in the catalog.
