Hi! I'm new to this site. I was wondering if anyone out there has had the same procedure I have. I was dx with stage4 lung cancer in April of 2008. I refused chemo, but had a procedure called cryoablation. I next underwent radiation. Does this sound familiar to anyone. I would be very interested in hearing from any who have had this same procedure.Thank you in advance.

Be Well,
Diana

    CryoAblation
Hello I've never heard of CryoAblation? What is that? So you've been living with Stage 4 Small Cell lung cancer since 2008? That fantastic. So all you have had is the radiation and cryoablation? Please do tell I'm really interested. I was diagnosed last April 2010 and I'm getting ready to start chemo again because no clinical trials will take me.
Please let me know all you have done for treatment.
    Thank you
    Lori

    Question

    Hello, Diana

My father has stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (he was diagnosed end of February 2012), he has had platinum-based chemo since and radiation for the bone mets but chemo is not helping him (his tumors and mets continue growing and spreading) and he is getting worse.

Where did you have your cryoablation and how are you feeling today?

I would appreciate any insight, advice and/or help you can offer.

    Thank you.
