I've had it with chemo! A little over a month ago I decided to stop taking chemo treatments. It was way too much for me. My husband and I researched and researched for alternative methods and found tons of info on it. We found a documentary about the Rick Simpson story called "Run From The Cure". We decided to try this but didn't know anyone who is a care giver in our small town. We had gone to a birthday party for my little niece at my brothers house and started talking about what we want to do. A couple that we didn't know was there and heard us talking. They are care givers for medical marijuana and I became a patient of theirs. I took meeting these people as a sign from God to try this method!! Being off chemo and on cannabis now for about 4 weeks, I have been feeling better and better. If you watch the video...(I will post the link)...you will see how they make the oil. Actually my caregiver thought that I would do better on raw cannabis rather than oil because I really don't want any kind of a "high". The raw cannabis does not get me high at all. I can work all day a feel great. I take the oil at night to help me sleep. I've always had that problem. I am so happy to feel good for a change. I know cannabis has a big stigma on it....but please keep an open mind and research for yourself. You can contact me any time and I would love to discuss this with you. There are thousands of cancer patients that have been cured of cancer with cannabis!! No side effects!! Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0psJhQHk_GI. Take care girls and God bless!

    So is the cannabis supposed
So is the cannabis supposed to be a cure, or just an aid to help you feel better. I do not live in a medical marijuana state sadly, but have no problem using it if needed. I already informed my MO of this when the hell of chemo begins. I will also seek a 2nd opinion regarding how necessary chemo is.

Did you quit because how bad the effects of chemo were?

I just heard about this also,
It is oil that you are getting the benefits from not the thc so you are not suppose to get high from it... I was really curious also about this. Interesting as my niece sent me a link that one of her clients gave her. Another thing to research!

    You didn't say...
What stage you are or what's currently going on with you. I was under the assumption that cannabis was being used strictly to stave off nausea for cancer patients. I didn't think it had any curative powers.

    Injesting Raw Cannabis
Hi Camul! When you heat cannabis you get high..smoking, vaporizing, or baking cookies or brownies. When you eat it raw like I do..it doesn't make you high. I grind up the dried bud and add a little olive oil to it and stuff it into gel capsules. I take a capsule every 3 or 4 hours all day long. I take the oil at night..it's totally wonderful for sleeping!!! Chemo was so bad for me..I could not do anything. I was sick all the time. I had headaches and my hand went numb. I did about 6 rounds of chemo and that was all I could take. I think I would rather die than do that again! Anyway I am so grateful for my wonderful husband that did hours of research for me and found this great alternative. I will have a CT Scan in a couple of months to see how everything is going. It works on all cancers and on all different stages. Some cancer patients have had the doctors telling them there is no hope for them and just go home and die. These are the people that have nothing left to lose so they go for it and many, many of them are completely cured. It's amazing!! I keep reading more and more testimonies everyday! I thank God everyday that I feel so good!! I am always happy to answer any questions you might have on this subject. Take care Camul.

Hi Kacee! I was diagnosed with stage 2b HER positive. I would have to find my pathology report to tell you more...I actually don't remember everything. I am at work and it's at home. To answer your question...you can smoke marijuana to alleviate the side effects of chemo and nausea. That has helped many patients. But it does so much more! They are only beginning to research this wonderful medicine. The drug companies, some doctors and hospital don't want you to know about this as they can't patient it because it's a natural plant. If people started to use it for a cure they won't make the billions of dollars the cancer industry makes. My care giver used it to cure his lung cancer a couple of years ago and now just takes a maintenance dose every day. Feel free to ask me anything. Do as much research on this and you will find what a wonderful plant this is. I am so amazed!! Take care Kacee!

    Hi Dianehelen!
Hi Dianehelen! Cannabis is a cure if you do or don't take chemo. It works faster on patients that don't do chemo, but it will work if you do take it. I am now just getting over the effects of the chemo. I feel better and better each passing day! I'm so grateful!! Now I can take the raw cannabis just for the sole purpose of curing my cancer! Please read the reply below I wrote to Camul. It explains the way I'm doing it. And like I wrote to Camul I am always happy to answer any questions you have. Let's all just get better and get on with our lives!! I never smoked marijuana...this is all so new to me too. I want to shout it to the world. It also cures or relieves symptoms of many other diseases. I am learning so much about this wonderful God given plant! Take care Dianehelen!

I would not do the raw cannabis,I read there are small hairs on it that can damage internal organs if taken over a long period. I would do the oils. The oils contain the important cannabinols anyway. I had read of the raw cannabis hair problem back when I was a user and wanted to try eating it.

As an aside Stanford did the research on using cannabis to cure and it's for real. It actually shrinks tumors. It's online if you want to look it up.

I did look it up and I could
I did look it up and I could find no large control studies on this whatsoever. There is a small study at the California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute that is being conducted on mice and is light years away from being able to make the leap that cannabis cures cancer.

I have worked very hard for the past 25 years to stay alive and I am still fighting. Hearing that anything cures cancer infuriates and insults my struggles. Over the years we have heard it all: green tea, cannabis and don't forget the kudzu. Sorry, but I don't buy it at all.

"They've been doing studies on mice and showing the effect in tumors. All that is wonderful, but what you don't know is whether it will make people go pea green or colorblind," said Dr. William Goodson, a breast cancer specialist at California Pacific Medical Center who is familiar with the researchers' work.

P.S. I could not find anything involved with Stanford, so please send me that link.

    For Texas Charlie:

Research on mice doesn't mean it is ready to be used on people. It might shrink tumors in mice but it is a long, long way before it is ready to be a possibility for people.

When labs do studies and something works, it doesn't mean you give up regular treatment and think this is it. It can be years and most of the time, it doesn't go any where.

"The antibody has so far been tested only on mice, but researchers hope to give it to people within two years."

Tested on Mice is the "Keyword". Everything needs approval and it goes into steps by the FDA. I never get excited until it is in phase III trials.

    CC
Keyword was Mice and the article I read stated the following:

Dr Weissman said that when used on small tumours, the drug is ‘potentially curative’ – but stressed that for some of the mice it did not work at all.

The article I read was a tabloid out of the uk.

On another forum this woman selling her diet book that will cure cancer, came out of the same newspaper. I hope Ginger Girl reconsiders going back to treatment. I hate to have any other people join the mets club, I would turn in my membership in a blink of the eye.

    For Diane Helen
It is flagged in order that the administrator for csn discussion boards reviews the posts. If they find it doesn't go with their policies, then it is removed.

Someone here enjoys censoring other people's opinions.
