Please add me to your prayer list
    Hi Tim,

I would love to be added to your prayer list. I just joined the discussion group today. I'm currently starting my third week of radiation along with weekly Cetuximab to treat my cancer which started as HPV positive cancer in my right tonsil, spreading to form a neck mass. My biggest fears are the complications and pain that I've been told are almost certain to be coming. Also, I'm from Orange County, California, but am receiving my treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. I have a wife and kids at home and I miss them greatly. I do know that our God holds all things in his hands, and has promised to be there with me through all things. I do trust that, and I want him to be glorified as I go through this journey, but sometimes it is just so hard, especially when you're alone in a strange city for almost 2 months.

Thanks for lifting all these people up. You're an inspiration to me.

    Thanks,
    Steve.

    Elizabeth and Steve ....
You are both on the list ...soooo sorry it took longer to respond. I have been getting ready for hernia surgery this past week. I have to travel 100 miles south for the procedure...but I keep my laptop with me :)

    Steve...

I really do know the feeling. I stayed in an RV on site at my treatment facility. I live in McCall, Idaho and was treated in Boise Idaho ...100 miles south. I was alone the first few weeks ....I was able to have my daughter (13) and my wife come help after that...but we have 5 children ages 2-13 and they were in school during my treatment.

My heart really goes out to you Steve....I know how I felt. I do hope you have someone there to help you once you get further along??

You feel free to pm me anytime....and if you ever need to talk about what to expect....I'd be happy and honored to speak with you by phone....let me know and I will provide you my cell. I have a great minutes plan!!!

Elizabeth...know your husband is on the list!

Tonight started by saying prayers for all on the list and I added you two on the top!!

    Best,

    Tim

Tim, thank you for adding me to your prayer list and also for the comforting words. Seeing all the others on this discussion forum and what each one of us is going through or has already gone through let's me know I'm not alone in this crazy journey.

Thanks, and many blessings to you.

Just wanted all to know I am praying still ....
I will not give up, I will not give in .....and I care for my online family and think of you all very, very often.

I appreciate all the doctors, I appreciate all modern technology has to offer, truly I do ...but for each of us who were invited and accepted to be on this prayer list I truly believe it makes a difference. I truly believe the good Lord can touch and help us in ways we never would have experienced without asking. :):)

    Good night .....

    Best,

    Tim

    Tim, new request....
My treatment ends tomorrow and just found out my sister has been diagnosed with stage 3 SCC with tonsil primary, almost identical to what I just fought....unreal.
So please add Susie, Tom, Brandon and Lorne to the prayer list....
Susie will need strength, and comfort and I pray for her to have an easy ride. I also pray her doctors and health care professionals will be enlightened and guided by the spirit.
The rest of the family will need comfort, strength, and compassion.
I still join you every day I can and have so much respect for you doing this....you are truly a man of god......

    Extra prayers are always nice...
    Hi Tim,

We'll never pass up on being on the prayer list. Kreg is having a rough time physically and mentally toward the end of treatment here. Would be great to have him on your list of prayers. And also thank you for being such a kind friend to him and I. You are a true Warrior yourself!

    Kreg is on Cris ..
Kreg: Healing and strength - NED for many good years.
Cris - strength, wisdom for yourself and Kreg

Tell Kreg it does get better. I know he can do this....be sure you offer my cell (I think I included that in our talks) ...if we ever wants to talk...I'm available...though I know right now all is effort is on just maintaing strength mentally and physically.

I use that 100% Whey Protein mix in skim milk...it's made by Twinlab. I still use it. It has 25g of protein in each scoop. Ensure plus has 13g of protein...that protein helps healing....I'm sure you are aware of all of this ...but in case not...get him to take all the protein he can..

    Thinking of you both ....

    Best,

    Thank you for your prayers!
Means a lot to me and my family that you're doing this. It takes a great and dedicated person to take the time to pray for all of us. May God bless you!!
I'm heading into the homeward stretch (6 rads left) and i'm hurting. No taste, little to no saliva, fatigue and so forth. I put all my strength into knowing God has this under control.
I remind myself of 1st Peter 6 "So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead (meaning Heaven), even though you have to endure many trials for a little while."

    Thank you Tim

    No, thank you AJW ...
for the encouraging words. I won't pretend sometimes it's not hard to keep at it when I see the bad posts on the board....but I will not give up I will not give in. I know He has things under His control and in His plan even if at times I do not understand.

Many folks laugh and tease these days ...but if I have to be a "fool" to the world...then so bit it.....I will still cast my lot with Him till the end.

I hurt that you hurt....so I asked for extran physical strenght tonight for you ....and for that wonderful NED along with many, many more good years with your family.

    Best,

    I pray...I believe, too
I would appreciate any and all good thoughts for my dad and his medical team. He's 94, 10 years cancer-free, but now, it's back. 2nd recurrence. SCC floor of mouth. PET scan today. Please don't let the age fool you...he's not ready "to go" and I'm not ready to be without the strongest man in my life.

A few prayers never hurt anybody! Thanks for listening...
    -Vee

    Me:
Caregiver to husband who died at 39-adenocarcinoma unknown primary w/ metastasis to bone.
Caregiver to significant other who died at 63-prostate cancer.
Caregiver to dad- still kickin', age 94- SCC H&N, face, & prostate.

Got you on Nelson, Kim and Vee :)
Sorry so long to resond...I declare I don't check my board for 2 days and you all show up :) Just kidding of course. Delighted to have you on the list, sorry for the delay. I will be travleing to Las Vegas with the company I work for Dec. 3 - 7 so I may not chekc the board daily ...but I will be praying!!

Nelson: Work tranistion goes well, keeps track well of meds and excels at work with no problems, strength.

Kim: Bleesings for being such a great caregiver, peace of mind and strength to trust in the Lord all goes well. (I know it's easier said or prayed for then done).

Vee's Dad: strength, healing, wisdom for him, family, doctors to ensure best decisions. Peace in heart and mind.

Vee: Srength, wisdom to best help Dad as he moves thru this time in his life. Blessings on you for the love and care you have shown to your Dad, and continued comfort, faith all will be well.

I'm sorry you all have to be on this board. I pray we all are off one day (that may sound so silly to some I know, but the world itself is a miracle in all it's wonders and if He can create this masterpiece...is there really nothing he can't do?) :)

    Count me in!
I have appreciated so very much everyone's prayers...and truly believe they have been the reason I have made it this far with little to complain about....Thank you, Tim....I have to say again....you sure are a wonderful person....I'm sincere about that!!

    p

Just wanted to say thank you for a change...
This is just my way of saying thank you to the Lord in front of all my cyber family. I ask so much of Him so often ..and I know we all don't get good news or the news we would like sometimes ....but when we do I don't want to forget to be thankful.

So I am thankful tonight for Phrannies great NED! I'm not ingnorant to the fact she is strong, has a great family support and wonderful doctors ...I am thankful to them too as we all often are ...just wanted to make sure I did not leave out the Lord. :)

Really glad for you tonight Phrannie....you have always been such an inspiration to us all and your attitude is amazing.

    Best,

    Tim
