    Just catching up. Well your news just sucks. I must admit I don't understand half the stuff you do but just keep putting one foot in front of the other to get a plan in place. I'm glad you got your affairs and business in order so you and your wife can concentrate in making decisions going forward. You know Pete my hubby George was diagnosed advanced Stage IV in March, 2009 and 2009 should have been his last year on earth but he is still here. Granted, there are some real tough days but there are lots of really good days too. No one knows their expiration date so don't you even think of going there. Wishing you nothing but the best outcome as you move forward in your journey.

    i thought i had pulled out all the stops, but i have found a few more.
    my wife is helping me alot more, making meals, juices, coffees.
    i read about the hipec, its a big op.

    HIPEC
    This truly is a very serious operation, not to be taken lightly at all. There are several on the site Colon Club that have had this procedure very successfully. One that comes to mind is Sky Fletch. He is young, around 29 I think. Anyway, he just had another successful scan showing NED. He was very involved in his treatment, scans, etc. Anyway, after diagnosis his gal did not leave his side, they are now married, he is remodeling a house and living life to its fullest. He would be a good source of information for you if you do have HIPEC. I don't think he did alternatives but was very involved in his treatment and very knowledgeable.

    I just wanted to check on something...
    did they find peritoneal mets? I thought it was three spots, spleen, liver and lung. I really hope they can do piecemeal surgery of these, rather than the overall stripping and internal chemo...that's rough from what I've read. Hugs!

    Tina, the real life story helped. It's such a big op that I need to take it lightly, to cope with the risk and the pressure. I will contact him after I see hipec surgeon.

    I hope the information helps. I have also been reading up on the hipec surgery... I have signet ring adenocarcinoma... Hipec is one of the treatment options for what I have. Not sure if I need to go that far just yet...but I want to be prepared.

    Are 2 of the mets being classified as peritoneal because they are on the outside of the liver and spleen?

    it seems the spread has been contained to the periteonum.

    the message is its contained in the peritoneum. doctor morris is a top liver guy who does the mitomycin chemo bath while they ripe out your peritanum. they may kill you in the process, serious op about 10 hours. in my mind 70 days and counting to the biggest cut of them all. I am already committed to grabbing this curative option, if my last ditch alternative binge cannot get the markers to go down then I will go the hardcore surgery. If 5 hours a day qigong and my alt csan cure me, then i will skip the surgery.

    the pre op pet in say 3 months will support the movement of cea.

    from the surgical team it maybe curative and the lung thingy well lets cyberknife.

    looks like going to india to get cyberknife, not available in australia, in india may also get dedredic cell vaccine and hyperthermia treatment. considering this for fun, now i have some tumours they can make a vaccine out of. its about $15,000 all up so its not huge money. And i have never been to india. slumdog millionaire is the kids favourite movie.

    actually hammering all the alts a bit harder, yes its possible.

    contemplating the avastin/5fu free chemo offer.

    it could fit in to the 8 week preop trial to shutdown any growth.

    I got to get an appointment to see doctor morris, get his opinion about my pet.
