My wife Patricia died this week after a very rough year, having been diagnosed with Stage IV last November. Sad to say, but the best part of this journey, from a humane medical perspective, was the round-the-clock care & pain managment provided by Hospice those last 5 days.

Before signing off from this forum I want to express my gratitude for the support many of you have extended in various ways, and to also wish all of you the best as you continue your journeys.

Thank you for your contributions to the site. I read much of what you posted and know that it was a hard struggle on you both.

I am very sorry for the loss of your spouse...

It's hard to read all of these stories, but we know they are a reality.

This is an extremely difficult time on the board right now...

Time will not heal all wounds - but Time does have a way of softening the pain that allows us to move forward to the next dawn.

I hope that one day you will be able to heal.

I'm so sorry to hear this. It's nice to know that hospice took very good care of Patricia the last few days, that's the point of hospice.
You were an incredible supportive advocate for Patricia, we should all be so lucky to have someone like you in our corner.

    My condolences...
